Democrats went to extreme lengths to hang to power in the U.S. Senate.
Now they’re paying the price.
And Laura Ingram’s take on the hospitalization of one Senator left Democrats reeling.
Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman checked himself into Walter Reed for the last reason anyone expected.
Soon after it was confirmed the Senator was an inpatient at the Washington, D.C. hospital, his staff made a stunning announcement.
Fetterman’s Chief of Staff Adam Jentleson released a statement explaining that Fetterman was admitted to get treatment for clinical depression.
According to Jentleson, the Senator has suffered from depression throughout his life, but it became dramatically worse in recent weeks.
“Last night, Senator John Fetterman checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive treatment for clinical depression,” Jentleson noted. “While John has experienced depression on and off throughout his life, it only became severe in recent weeks.”
Since the beginning of this year’s Senate session, Fetterman has become familiar with the hospital.
He ended up spending numerous days there after he developed severe headaches during Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech.
It’s been a rough year for Fetterman who nearly died from a stroke back in May.
Rather than give him time to rest and recover, Democrats rushed the Pennsylvania politician back onto the campaign trail in an all-out effort to help Joe Biden maintain control of the US Senate.
Even though it was apparent from the beginning that Democrats were playing a dangerous game, it took a serious diagnosis for the media to finally admit to the level of impairment Fetterman is dealing with.
Now The New York Times has finally recognized that that Fetterman is facing a difficult long-term prognosis thanks to the choice to rush back onto the campaign trail.
“The stroke — after which he had a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted — also took a less apparent but very real psychological toll on Mr. Fetterman. It has been less than a year since the stroke transformed him from someone with a large stature that suggested machismo — a central part of his political identity — into a physically altered version of himself, and he is frustrated at times that he is not yet back to the man he once was. He has had to come to terms with the fact that he may have set himself back permanently by not taking the recommended amount of rest during the campaign. And he continues to push himself in ways that people close to him worry are detrimental,” The Times published in an exclusive report.
Many Americans are sympathetic for Fetterman who was almost completely ignored during his campaign while his wife, Gisele, basked in attention—including that from Joe Biden himself—during the high stakes Senate race.
Conservatives like Laura Ingraham pointed out that those around Fetterman pushed him to pay an extremely high price over their fears of losing the Pennsylvania Senate seat.
“Before we let you go, what do you think of Gisele Fetterman, who pushed this poor man to run for Senate?” Ingraham asked during her interview with Ned Ryun. “Now he ends up in the hospital with clinical depression after already being hospitalized. I mean, is there a more twisted scenario than this, frankly cruel scenario than this?”
Ryun came back with a sharp critique comparing Fetterman’s wife to the villainous female lead in Shakespeare’s MacBeth.
“It feels very much like a Lady Macbeth situation, which, she’s very ambitious and she used her impaired husband as the vehicle to achieve some of her ambitions,” Ryun explained.
“It’s sickening and cruel,” Ingraham agreed.
“It is,” Ryun responded.
Now everyone is watching the misery from Democrats’ overreaching political ambitions play out.
