Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the most socialist Democrats in all of Congress.
But the Left is starting to turn on her.
And liberal actress Susan Serandon just asked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez the one question that could ruin her political career.
In 2018 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez upset her opponent during the Democrat Primary.
She did it running on a promise to eliminate private health insurance and instead impose a socialist healthcare system.
This was one of her signature issues.
But even though Democrats control the entire Federal Government, AOC still hasn’t delivered on her campaign promises.
And voters in her far-left congressional district are demanding to know why.
In fact, actress Susan Sarandon recently held a protest outside of AOC’s office in New York City over her refusal to make good on her promise to pass her socialized medicine bill into law.
“I’m here to say to the squad, and especially AOC — who, you know, did make a lot of promises — that we still have faith in you, and we would like to see if you have a better plan than we’ve been able to see, please share it,” Sarandon declared.
Sarandon questioned Ocasio-Cortez’s authenticity as an outsider if Ocasio-Cortez could not come through on socialized medicine.
“If there’s a pathway that you’ve got that we’re not aware of, please share it, because we’re losing hope here that you represent us,” Sarandon added. “It’s so difficult for people that are independent to get elected in the first place, and then to see the very people that sponsored the bill not stand up for it, is very disheartening.”
Of course, polls show that government-run healthcare, which would require eliminating private health insurance for 180 million Americans, is wildly unpopular with voters.
This makes the Democrat leadership fearful of forcing a vote on the bill ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
And AOC is facing the heat from her constituents over her failure to make good on her campaign promises.
