As a member of the Washington, D.C. ruling class Lindsey Graham has a long track record of working with Democrats to screw over the American people.
Someone had to pick up that mantle and run with it after his best friend, John McCain, passed away.
And now Lindsey Graham has once again stabbed the American people in the back with the ultimate betrayal.
After decades of inaction and kicking the can down the road, suddenly, the issue of illegal immigration has once again become one of the top debates in Washington, D.C. today.
Of course, it’s always been the top debate in border states and communities across America that have been ravished by Democrats’ open borders agenda and Republicans’ refusal to actually follow through on their border security promises.
All that’s changed is that the politicians are simply just now realizing that it could inevitably have a negative impact on their re-election efforts.
And as a result, rather than actually solving the issue by securing the border first and then reforming the system that’s created the mess by offering any illegal alien who shows up American taxpayer-funded handouts that take care of their every desire indefinitely without having to lift a finger, Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) are demanding amnesty for millions of illegal aliens who are already in the United States.
On the surface, the legislation appears to simply be a re-introduced version of the so-called “DREAM Act,” which would grant amnesty to millions of children of illegal aliens – and that’s exactly how the corporate-controlled media and ruling class will try to sell it.
But upon closer examination, it has been revealed that the bill also allows the millions of illegal alien children who are granted amnesty to then turn around and “sponsor” their parents and other relatives through the citizenship process, allowing 10-times more illegal aliens to be granted amnesty.
“Dreamers are teachers, nurses, and small business owners in our communities, but because DACA hangs by a thread in the courts, they live each day in fear of deportation,” Durbin claimed in a statement. “It is clear that only Congress can give them the stability they deserve and a path to lawful permanent residence. I first introduced the Dream Act more than 20 years ago, and I’ll continue fighting until it becomes the law of the land. This is a matter of simple American fairness and justice. I thank Senator Graham for his continued partnership in this important bipartisan effort.”
For his part, Senator Graham did the typical Republican establishment song and dance in which he voiced his support for amnesty, while providing the American people with lip service about the need to secure the border first, even though his support for the “DREAM Act” proves the ruling class elites are merely kicking the can down the road again.
“While I continue to support relief for Dreamers, I hope my Democratic colleagues understand we must repair a broken border and address a tsunami of illegal immigration before that is remotely possible,” Graham claimed. “The Dreamers represent a class of illegal immigrants that have much public support because they were minors brought here by their parents and America has become their home. To provide relief to this population, we must first convince Americans that the unending wave of illegal immigration will stop.”
Of course, if Graham actually believed anything he was saying about the need to solve the “tsunami of illegal immigration before” granting millions of illegal aliens amnesty, he wouldn’t be supporting or pushing amnesty legislation before actually securing the border.
But just as he’s done time and time again, Lindsey Graham is merely betraying the American people and stabbing them in the back in order to further empower the ruling class.
