Establishment darling Liz Cheney made headlines last year with her unbelievably embarrassing midterm loss.
The former Congresswoman and daughter of Vice President of Dick Cheney had clearly grown too big for her britches when she was corrected sharply by Wyoming voters.
The conservative state kicked out Cheney with a humiliating 37-point loss.
Incredibly, the historically disgraced RINO insists on keeping herself in the center of the political scene.
In fact, it looks like the Never Trumper is doubling down on her efforts to keep Donald Trump out of office and help the political establishment regain absolute control of the Republican Party.
Recently, Cheney showed up as a guest on the University of Virginia’s woke Politics is Everything podcast associated with the institution’s Center for Politics.
During the podcast, the disgruntled and disgraced RINO unloaded with her opinion of new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA).
“Mike is somebody that I knew well,” Cheney explained. “We were elected together. Our offices were next to each other.”
No doubt, Cheney is green with envy seeing the Representative she served alongside for six years rise to power while she got unceremoniously kicked out of Congress.
She let some of that steam off by claiming that Johnson somehow failed to defend the Constitution in months following the 2020 election since he refused to join Democrats in their effort to toss Trump in Jail.
“Mike is somebody who says that he’s committed to defending the Constitution,” Cheney declared. “But that’s not what he did when we were all tested in the aftermath of the 2020 election.”
Cheney then raved about Trump questioning the election results and blaming him for the events at the Capitol on January 6.
“Mike, in my experience, and I was very deeply involved and engaged as the conference chair when Mike was doing things like convincing members of the conference to sign on to the amicus brief,” Cheney said. “He was acting in ways that he knew to be wrong,” she claimed. “And, I think that the country, unfortunately, will come to see the measure of his character.”
She then went on to slander Johnson’s character by putting forward the idea that he was “willing to set aside what he knew to be the rulings of the courts, the requirements of the Constitution, in order to placate Donald Trump, in order to gain praise from Donald Trump, for political expediency.”
“So, it’s a concerning moment to have him be elected Speaker of the House,” she complained.
Cheney then described Johnson with one word that is music to conservatives’ ears.
According to the floundering member of the ruling class elite who doesn’t seem to be adjusting well to being out of a job, Johnson is “dangerous.”
“One of the reasons why somebody like Mike Johnson is dangerous is because when you have elected Republicans who know better, elected Republicans who know the truth, but yet will go along with the efforts to undermine our republic, the efforts, frankly, that Donald Trump undertook to overturn the election,” she stated.
Liz Cheney is obviously still reeling from the realization that Donald Trump’s America First approach is now dominating Republican politics.
And she is on a mission to take out anyone who refuses to take down Donald Trump.
