Liz Cheney went down in flames in the Wyoming Republican Primary.
Wyoming voters ousted Cheney due to her obsession with helping Democrats destroy Donald Trump.
But Liz Cheney never expected Mike Pence would have this insane reaction to her crushing defeat.
Trump-endorsed attorney Harriet Hageman destroyed Liz Cheney by 67 to 29 percent in the recent Republican Primary for Wyoming’s At-Large Congressional District.
Cheney infuriated Wyoming Republicans when she voted to impeach Donald Trump and then agreed to serve as the Vice Chair of Pelosi’s January 6 witch hunt.
Not only that, but Cheney also made it perfectly clear that she wants Trump to be indicted, arrested, prosecuted, and jailed over the events at the Capitol on January 6.
As part of his preparation for a 2024 GOP Presidential campaign, Mike Pence recently traveled to the Iowa State Fair to meet with voters.
While in Iowa, Pence stunned folks by taking a neutral position on Liz Cheney’s crushing defeat.
“My reaction was, the people of Wyoming have spoken,” Pence told the Associated Press. “And, you know, I accept their judgment about the kind of representation they want on Capitol Hill.”
Pence also praised Cheney by falsely claiming she was a lifelong conservative.
“And I appreciate the conservative stance Congresswoman Cheney has taken over the years,” Pence continued. “But I’ve been disappointed in the partisan taint of the January 6 committee from early on.”
For the past 18 months, Liz Cheney spent all of her time trying to impeach, investigate, and lock up Donald Trump.
The only reason Liz Cheney mustered 29 percent of the vote was because so many Democrats crossed over and voted for her in the GOP Primary.
Mike Pence has Presidential ambitions for 2024, which means taking on Donald Trump for the nomination.
After what he did on January 6, Pence has no hope of winning over the Trump base, leaving him with the only option of running as the establishment-backed RINO in 2024.
Pence understands this, which is why he is trying to make nice with Liz Cheney and other Never Trumpers in hopes of winning the support of the Swamp.
But Pence only further eroded any support he once had with conservatives by trying not to antagonize Liz Cheney and her establishment backers.
