Liz Cheney has been trying to hide the fact that she is actually an establishment RINO like Mitt Romney.
She has been a Never-Trumper from the start, but her plans to hurt the President’s chances of re-election this November just came to a screeching halt.
And Liz Cheney was just caught off guard when she walked straight into this closed-door meeting that could end her career.
The House Republicans just held their first all caucus meeting in months due to the pandemic.
During the meeting, conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus slammed Cheney’s constant attacks and attempts to undermine President Trump.
Not only did she attack Trump, but she even attempted to prop up a primary challenger to conservative Congressman Thomas Massie with her support. This led Republicans to call Cheney’s intentions and allegiance into question as she is supposed to be the third ranking Republican in the House.
POLITICO exclusively reported:
Members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus tore into Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) during a heated GOP conference meeting on Tuesday, lobbing attacks at her for breaking with President Donald Trump, supporting Dr. Anthony Fauci and backing a primary opponent to one of their colleagues.
Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, a Freedom Caucus co-founder and one of Trump’s top allies, called out Cheney, the GOP conference chair, for all the times she has opposed Trump and began ticking off some recent high-profile examples, according to two sources in the room. While Jordan praised her defense of Trump during impeachment, he also said Cheney’s recent rebukes of Trump – which have focused on Trump’s handling of the coronavirus, his Twitter rhetoric, and his foreign policy – were not helpful.
The most recent break between conservatives and Cheney came when she sided with Democrats and the Fake News Media to attack Trump over a fabricated story that broke about Russian bounties placed on U.S. trooped in the Middle East.
Cheney assisted the Left and their allies in the Fake News Media to whip up a storm of misinformation that resulted in an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that restricts the President’s ability to make good on his campaign promise to bring America’s troops home.
After the meeting came to a close, Donald Trump, Jr. tore into Cheney and compared her to the Never-Trump traitor, Mitt Romney.
Trump, Jr. continued on to reinforce Congressman Matt Gaetz’s call for her to step down or be removed for breaking from the conservative cause, betraying her conservative voters, and for helping the Democrats play politics with the lives of American troops.
We already have one Mitt Romney, we don’t need another… we also don’t need the endless wars she advocates for. https://t.co/RDkJDA9UOZ
