Democrats love parading Michael Fanone around as their January 6 hero.
His latest appearance exposed something they didn't count on.
And Michael Fanone lost control outside the Jack Smith hearing when a reporter asked him this one question.
Fanone Explodes When Asked About Body Camera
Former Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police officer Michael Fanone had a spectacular meltdown outside the House Judiciary Committee's Jack Smith hearing when Gateway Pundit reporter Cara Castronuova asked him a simple question.
Castronuova approached Fanone as he left the Capitol building and asked if it was true he turned off his body camera on January 6.
Fanone immediately went ballistic.
The unhinged outburst was caught on video and broadcast across social media showing Fanone cursing, gesturing wildly, and completely losing his composure when confronted with a basic factual inquiry.
"Is it true you turned off your body cam on January 6?" Castronuova asked, and that's when Fanone lost it.
His extreme reaction to a straightforward question raised eyebrows across conservative media.
Why would asking about body camera footage trigger such rage from someone Democrats hold up as a January 6 victim?

Fanone has built his entire post-police career on his January 6 story.
He testified before Nancy Pelosi and Liz Cheney’s January 6th House Select Committee, wrote a book, landed a CNN contributor gig that ended in 2023, and became the Left's go-to cop for attacking Trump supporters.
But conservatives have questioned gaps in his narrative for years.
Questions about why portions of his body camera footage remain unreleased and whether all the details of his January 6 experience match his public testimony have dogged Fanone since he became a media figure.
The parking lot confrontation suggested those questions hit a nerve.
Pattern of Unhinged Behavior at Congressional Hearings
Fanone's outside outburst was just the beginning of his breakdown.
Inside the hearing room, he disrupted proceedings multiple times with profanity-laced tirades that caught the attention of Capitol Police.
When Texas Republican Congressman Troy Nehls questioned Capitol Police leadership's failures on January 6, Fanone cupped his hands to his mouth and yelled "Go f*** yourself!" at the sitting member of Congress.

Chairman Jim Jordan had to admonish the audience and demand order as Democrats applauded Fanone's disgraceful display.
Then during a recess, Fanone physically confronted conservative activist Ivan Raiklin.
Video shows multiple people restraining Fanone as he screamed obscenities and threatened Raiklin.

Officers briefly removed Fanone from the hearing room before allowing him to return.
Democrats gave him a standing ovation.
This wasn't the first time Fanone has had an emotional outburst at a congressional hearing.
During his July 2021 testimony before the original January 6 Committee, Fanone pounded the witness table and screamed at Republican lawmakers.
"The indifference shown to my colleagues is disgraceful!" he shouted, slamming his fist on the table for emphasis.
That display became a viral moment Democrats used to attack Republicans who questioned the January 6 narrative.
But the pattern of volatile, aggressive behavior raises serious questions about Fanone's credibility as a witness.
Police officers are supposed to maintain composure under pressure.
Fanone can't handle a reporter's question without exploding.
Democrats' January 6 Mascot Shows His True Colors
The Jack Smith hearing was supposed to be Democrats' chance to relitigate the January 6 prosecutions and attack Trump.
Instead, their star witness Michael Fanone became the story with his uncontrolled rage.
President Trump pardoned over 1,500 January 6 defendants on his first day back in office, including Daniel Rodriguez and Thomas Sibick who were convicted of assaulting Fanone.
Fanone has been on a media tour ever since claiming he feels "betrayed" and demanding protective orders.
But his behavior at the hearing showed why Trump supporters questioned his victim narrative from the start.
Real victims don't scream profanities at sitting Congressmen during official hearings.
They don't physically confront people during congressional proceedings.
And they definitely don't have complete meltdowns when reporters ask about their body camera footage.
Fanone retired from the Metropolitan Police Department in 2021 after 20 years, claiming injuries from January 6 including PTSD, a heart attack, and traumatic brain injury.
He voted for Trump in 2016 but became one of his most vocal critics after January 6.
Democrats made him a hero, gave him a Presidential Citizens Medal, and paraded him through congressional hearings and cable news hits.
Now conservatives are watching his mask slip.
The Gateway Pundit's simple question about his body camera exposed what many suspected all along.
Michael Fanone isn't a credible witness.
He's an unstable partisan actor who can't control his emotions when challenged.
And Democrats just got a preview of what happens when their January 6 narrative faces real scrutiny.
