Longtime Democrat Just Delivered The Kiss Of Death To Chuck Schumer’s Career

Chuck Schumer built a career on reading the political winds.

Now those same winds are threatening to blow him right out of his leadership job.

And a longtime Democrat strategist just delivered the kiss of death to Chuck Schumer's career.

Julie Roginsky drops the hammer on Schumer's failed leadership

Democrats are in panic mode after their latest government funding disaster.

Eight Democrat senators defied Schumer's position and voted to reopen the government without the healthcare subsidies he demanded.

The rebellion exposed what many in the party have whispered for months — Schumer can't control his own caucus.

On MSNBC's "Chris Jansing Reports," longtime Democrat strategist Julie Roginsky delivered the devastating assessment that has party insiders buzzing.

"I am ideologically quite aligned with where [Schumer] is as a senator, but he's no longer capable of running this caucus," Roginsky declared.¹

That phrase — "no longer capable" — became Schumer's political obituary.

Roginsky isn't some random MAGA critic.

She's a lifelong establishment Democrat who worked for Jon Corzine and founded multiple progressive organizations.

Her resumé screams party loyalty from every line.

But even she can't stomach Schumer's political incompetence anymore.

"He's no longer capable of leading the Democratic Party," Roginsky continued.²

The veteran strategist delivered the most humiliating blow when she admitted Bernie Sanders — the 82-year-old socialist from Vermont — represents Democrats better than their own Senate leader.

"I am a lifelong, I mean, I am an establishment Democrat, and I'm here to say that Bernie Sanders is much more in line with where I and many other Democrats are today than Chuck Schumer is," Roginsky stated.³

Democrats abandon ship as Schumer's authority collapses

The government funding fight revealed the ugly truth about Schumer's leadership.

He demanded Republicans include healthcare subsidies in their continuing resolution.

When Republicans refused, Schumer initially vowed to block the bill and shut down the government.

Then something interesting happened.

Eight Democrats from his own caucus broke ranks and voted to advance the Republican bill anyway.

Schumer's threats carry no weight with his own people.

Roginsky captured the mood perfectly when she described how "furious" Democrats are with putting the country through a shutdown fight for nothing.

"So that's just to underscore exactly how furious, how furious Democrats are today for putting the country through this without having it out," she explained.⁴

Notice how the veteran Democrats who rebelled are either retiring or safe until 2030.

They don't fear Schumer's political retaliation because frankly, what's he going to do?

Schumer's long history of political miscalculations catches up

This isn't the first time Schumer's political instincts have failed him spectacularly.

He opposed Obama's Iran nuclear deal in 2015, breaking with his own party's president on his signature foreign policy achievement.

He got caught making tone-deaf comments about being "aroused" by Democrat activism just weeks ago.

Even liberal comedian John Oliver mocked Schumer for basing political decisions on imaginary suburban voters named "Joe and Eileen Bailey."

The man has spent decades chasing political winds instead of showing actual leadership.

Now those same winds are howling for new blood.

Nancy Pelosi — who orchestrated Joe Biden's political execution last year and just announced her retirement — delivered her own warning shot.

"I myself don't give away anything for nothing," Pelosi said about Schumer's negotiating tactics. "And I think that's what happened the other day."⁵

When Pelosi starts sharpening her knives, Washington insiders know what comes next.

Multiple House Democrats are openly calling for new Senate leadership.

Rep. Glenn Ivey of Maryland became the first to say publicly it "may be time" for Schumer to go.⁶

Colorado Senator Michael Bennet delivered his own passive-aggressive death blow when he said "It's important for people to know when it's time to go" in direct reference to leadership changes.⁷

The 74-year-old Schumer insists he's staying put, but that's what every politician says right before they announce their retirement.

Biden said the same thing for months before Democrats forced him out of the 2024 race.

The signs are all there — progressive groups planning protests at his book events, canceled speaking engagements, and now establishment Democrats questioning his "capability" on national television.

Chuck Schumer spent his career as a political weathervane, twisting whichever way the winds blew.

But political winds have a nasty habit of becoming hurricanes that destroy everything in their path.

The hurricane is coming for Chuck Schumer, and Julie Roginsky just announced the storm's arrival.
