The Russia collusion hoax poisoned American politics for years.
Democrats used every weapon at their disposal to take down Trump.
And Mark Warner just got caught red-handed in one coverup that could send him to prison.
Senator Warner's Fingerprints Are All Over The Biggest Leak In Years
Virginia Senator Mark Warner became Vice-Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee in January 2017, just two weeks before Trump took office.
Democrats and the intelligence community united to push the Trump-Russia narrative from day one.
Warner requested a copy of the top-secret FISA application used to spy on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page on March 17, 2017.
FBI Special Agent Brian Dugan picked up the 83-page FISA application from the court and delivered it to Senate Security Director James Wolfe.
Warner arrived at the secure facility shortly after 4:00pm that same day to review the classified document.
Hours later, Wolfe photographed all 82 pages and texted them to his girlfriend, Buzzfeed reporter Ali Watkins.
The leak set off a media firestorm about Trump-Russia collusion that lasted for years.
The FBI Built An Airtight Case Against Wolfe
Agent Dugan inserted leak tracers into the document by changing dates by one day.
When Watkins published stories using information from the FISA application, Dugan knew exactly where the leak came from.
The FBI obtained search warrants for both Watkins' phone records and Warner's text messages with Christopher Steele's lawyer, Adam Waldman.
Getting a warrant on a sitting Senator's communications requires overwhelming evidence.
Wolfe was confronted in December 2017 and lied three times before admitting he leaked the FISA application.
He was immediately removed from his position at the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Mueller's Team Buried The Evidence To Protect Warner
FBI agent Dugan turned over his complete investigative file to Robert Mueller's special counsel team in early 2018.
The evidence included the leaked FISA application with tracers, Watkins' phone records, and Warner's text messages.
On February 9, 2018, the text messages capturing Warner's involvement were sent back to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Warner got a head's up to clean up his mess.
Four days later, the Justice Department notified Watkins that her communications had been intercepted.
The grand jury wasn't seated until May 3, 2018.

Wolfe Only Got A Slap On The Wrist
When Wolfe's indictment was unsealed on June 8, 2018, he was only charged with lying to the FBI.
The overwhelming evidence that he leaked the FISA application never made it to the grand jury.
Mueller and his team removed that evidence before presenting the case.
Why protect Wolfe?
Because charging him with leaking the FISA would have exposed Warner's role in the conspiracy.
The Senate Intelligence Committee has oversight over the Justice Department and FBI.
Warner and committee chairman Richard Burr both had to be notified when the FBI investigated Wolfe for leaking classified documents.
Warner knew he was under investigation while simultaneously covering up his involvement.
One FBI Agent Wouldn't Let It Go
Agent Dugan refused to let the coverup stand.
In a December 2018 sentencing memo filed after Wolfe's plea deal, Dugan swore under oath that Wolfe leaked the FISA application.
He stated the leak involved "an FBI equity" and devoted "substantial agent and intelligence analyst resources" to the investigation.
Wolfe was sentenced to just two months in prison for lying to the FBI.
The man who leaked one of the most sensitive classified documents in recent memory walked away with a slap on the wrist.
Warner, Burr, and former chairwoman Dianne Feinstein all wrote letters supporting Wolfe's request for probation.
Mueller Released The FISA To Cover His Tracks
Nine days before Mueller released the FISA application to the public in July 2018, the Justice Department sent a letter to the FISA court claiming the evidence supporting the warrant was still valid.
Mueller released the March 17, 2017 version with Agent Dugan's leak tracers still in it.
That's the version from the FBI's investigation, not the Justice Department's copy.
Mueller possessed Dugan's investigative file and used that specific version to fulfill FOIA requests.
The special counsel released it to get ahead of the story and protect Warner.
If Congress had obtained the document through other channels, someone might have noticed it was the leaked version.
Mueller's team controlled the narrative by releasing it themselves.
The Coverup Continues To This Day
No major media outlet has ever admitted that Wolfe leaked the FISA application.
The evidence is overwhelming and publicly available.
Agent Dugan swore under oath that Wolfe leaked it.
But the media remains silent because admitting the truth would expose their role in pushing the Russia hoax.
Warner used his position on the Senate Intelligence Committee to weaponize classified information against Trump.
He coordinated with the FBI security director to leak the most sensitive surveillance application in modern American history.
Then Mueller's resistance team buried the evidence to protect him.
Warner still serves as Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
He lectures others about leaking classified information while his own leak helped launch the biggest political scandal in American history.
The man who orchestrated one of the most damaging intelligence leaks ever committed is still in a leadership position on the committee that's supposed to prevent leaks.
