McDonald’s just made this huge announcement that revealed a terrible truth for Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris has spent the year trying to gaslight America into believing that everything is going great, but McDonald’s just made this one announcement that paints a different picture.

Kamala Harris is trying to convince voters that the country is currently in its best shape yet.

But the truth has grown harder for Americans to swallow.

And McDonald’s just made this huge announcement that revealed a terrible truth for Kamala Harris.

Top McDonald’s fry suppliers shutters factory doors

The highest inflation in over 40 years was created by Vice President Kamala Harris due to her tie-breaking vote for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan in March of 2021 – and it’s still taking a huge toll on the economy.

And the fast food industry has been hit just as hard as the rest of the economy throughout the country.

The largest French fry producer in the United States, Lamb Weston, just announced that they will be closing one of their large plants that is located in Connell, Washington.

As a result, 375 workers – an estimated 4% of the company’s entire workforce – are going to be out of a job.

Lamb Weston holds the trophy as the biggest supplier of French fries across the board for fast food chains, which includes McDonald’s who accounts for about 13% of their business and is their biggest customer.

“Restaurant traffic and frozen potato demand, relative to supply, continue to be soft, and we believe it will remain soft through the remainder of fiscal 2025,” President and CEO of Lamb Weston, Tom Werner, informed on a recent earnings call.

The decision to cut costs at this level is a result of the decreasing demand from fast food restaurants.

“Together, we expect these actions will help us better manage our factory utilization rates and ease some of the current supply-demand imbalance in North America,” Werner argued.

“We are also taking actions to reduce operating expenses, including reducing headcount and eliminating certain unfilled job positions, as well as reducing capital expenditures,” he added. “The combined estimated savings from these actions are reflected in our updated fiscal 2025 targets.”

Biden-Harris administration continues to push a contrasting narrative on the economy

The Connell, Washington, plant closing down will not impact consumers looking to get French fries at their favorite fast-food restaurants.

But Kamala Harris and her fake news media allies are trying to convince voters of the phony narrative that the economy is actually great.

But years of unrelenting inflation have continued to wreak havoc on the economy and consumers.

Fast food restaurants have struggled with slowing and decreasing sales due to consumers being forced to cut back on spending.

A survey hosted by LendingTree back in May was able to find that roughly 80% of adults see fast food as a “luxury purchase” due to hiking costs.

And Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA, pointed out earlier this year that prices have skyrocketed 40% at their chains since 2019.

McDonald’s has been trying their $5 meal deal this past summer, offering a choice of a McDouble or McChicken, small drink, small French fries, and a four-piece chicken McNuggets.

Burger King and Wendy’s even tried a similar $5 value meal deal as a way to attempt to bring consumers that have been worried about inflation back to their restaurants.

But that was not enough to help avoid Lamb Weston from having to shutter one of their factories’ doors as demand for French fries has continued to decline.

“It’s important to note that many of these promotional meal deals have consumers trading down from a medium fry to a small fry,” noted Werner.

Lamb Weston reported last quarter that restaurant traffic has fallen 2% in the last quarter.

Fast food used to be a preferred, cheap way to grab food while on the run.

But it has become concernedly out of reach for Americans in the broken economy that Kamala Harris helped create, and continues to boast.
