It turns out there is much more to the Tucker Carlson firing by Fox News than anyone thought.
There is a dirty little secret and it’s a bombshell lobbed by none other than the blonde bombshell herself, Megyn Kelly.
Megyn Kelly knows all about Fox News, after all she worked there herself from 2004 until her firing by the network in 2017.
So when she talks about Fox and their inner workings, people listen.
Recently, on her wildly popular radio show, Megyn Kelly discussed Fox News’ carefully worded statement announcing it was taking Carlson off the air.
And she also talked about how Fox claimed the two parties mutually agreed to part ways.
Of course, we now know Carlson did not mutually agree to it at all.
But in a shocking announcement Kelly explained Fox has not yet actually fired Tucker Carlson.
And, Kelly said, Fox is still paying out his contract, which doesn’t expire until December 2024.

Kelly points out that if Fox had actually fired Carlson he would be free to join any cable network he wants, or even start his own media company.
By paying Carlson, and holding him to his contract, Fox News has effectively muzzled him.
Breitbart also weighed in on this story and expanded the coverage.
They revealed sources inside Fox News who state the Murdoch family has all along planned to keep paying Carlson on his contract so he can’t join a competitor for the 2024 elections.
“As of right now, the plan remains the same: pay out Carlson’s contract and keep him on the sidelines through the 2024 elections,” a source at Fox News relayed to Breitbart. “They knew they would take a beating for this, but everyone — and I mean everyone — is pretty rattled. They weren’t expecting the blowback to be this bad. Hate to say it, but it’s clear that Rupert has lost a step or two.”
That’s almost certainly why Carlson has retained high-powered attorney Bryan Freedman.
Freedman is a veteran of the media wars and even helped negotiate Megyn Kelly’s exit from NBC News.
NBC had to pay the remainder of Kelly’s salary but Kelly was free to pursue other options at the same time.
As Business Insider reported, “Messy media breakups are a staple for Freedman, famed for aggressively representing a laundry list of the entertainment world’s most prominent figures. His clients include Vin Diesel, Quentin Tarantino, and Mariah Carey. Freedman previously worked to help former host Megyn Kelly secure around $30 million from NBC News after she parted ways with the network in 2019. Kelly was fired halfway through her three-year contract worth $69 million, but NBC agreed to pay her the remainder of her original salary.”
Carlson himself has now spoken out about the firing.
In a viral video released on Twitter at 8:00 p.m. (his old time slot at Fox) Carlson hinted that Fox News fired him in order to censor him and Carlson said he would have more to say on the matter soon.
As Carlson gears up for what looks like a tough legal battle, it’s worth noting his viewership on his Twitter video beat Fox in his old time slot!
