Americans are sick of clueless woke athletes trying to dabble in the political arena.
Now NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar just got his comeuppance after he decided to defend controversial CNN anchor Don Lemon.
Lemon landed himself in a quagmire after making a shocking claim about RINO Nikki Haley—the former South Carolina Governor and Donald Trump’s first official GOP presidential challenger.
While conservatives aren’t enamored with Haley’s radical woke politics, nobody is willing to let Lemon get away with the chauvinistic behavior Democrats falsely accused Republicans of committing all the time.
In the guise of saying Joe Biden was past his prime, Haley took a swipe at both the current president and her GOP challenger saying that all presidential candidates over the age of 75 should take a mental competency test.
Leftist Lemon then rushed to defend Joe Biden claiming that as a woman Haley is the one past her prime.
“This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable,” Lemon stated. “I think it’s the wrong road to go down. She says people, you know, politicians are suddenly not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime.”’
If looks could kill, Lemon wouldn’t have made it through co-host Poppy Harlow’s glare.
She challenged Lemon asking if he was saying the 51-year-old Haley is past her sexual prime.
“That’s not according to me,” Lemon said, digging himself in deeper. “It’s like, prime. If you look it up. If you Google when is a woman in her prime, it’ll say 20s, 30s, and 40s.”
Once he realized he’d just jeopardized his career—conservatives have certainly been canceled for far less—Lemon issued a weak apology on Twitter.
“The reference I made to a woman’s ‘prime’ this morning was inartful and irrelevant, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret it. A woman’s age doesn’t define her either personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove that every day,” Lemon tweeted.
Abdul-Jabbar picked that point to needlessly insert himself into the controversy.
“Don – we know your heart was in the right place. I think you were referencing women being in their prime during their ‘reproductive years’. Women are always in their ‘prime’ because in my opinion, they get stronger, more courageous and more beautiful as they get older,” Abdul-Jabbar commented.
Megyn Kelly didn’t buy that hypocritical song and dance from either woke leftists.
She responded by blasting Abdul-Jabbar.
“Look at this guy – constantly lectures us on how morally superior he is – but 100% ok with Don Lemon’s misogyny,” Kelly pointed out. “There is NO context in which this comment is okay. Stop defending it. Pathetic.”
