Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly has become one of the most influential voices in conservative media.
Although she made herself a household name in front of the camera, her popularity has only grown since she left the television industry.
Kelly left the television news industry after duking it out with NBC.
She then launched her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show.
Her podcast soon became one of the most popular shows in the country, leading SiriusXM to pick it up.
Now Kelly just announced a new commitment to continue working with SiriusXM for multiple years.
“I’m thrilled to continue my relationship with the great people at SiriusXM who have been tremendously supportive of our show from the start,” Kelly announced. “In an age where conversations are being stifled and news skewed to please the politics of only a small set of people, it is a privilege to work with a company that values free speech and open, respectful, elevated debate.”
Kelly added that she has no plans to return to television because she’s past done when it comes to working for anyone else.
“I could never go back to having a boss,” Kelly told Variety. “I don’t do well with bosses. I’m much better off at being my own boss and running my own show.”
Kelly’s clashes with network executives at both Fox News and NBC made headlines during her time in the television industry.
Along with the announcement that she’s extending her deal with SiriusXM, Kelly also announced her plans to interview former President Donald Trump.
“It will be my first interview with the former President in seven years, and there is so much to get to,” Kelly explained in a social media post. “I’m really looking forward to this. It’s going to be great. It’s going to be spicy, and it’s going to be tough, but you’re all going to enjoy it a lot too.”
This will mark Kelly’s first time to interview Trump since May 2016.
Before he was elected, Trump and Kelly exchanged fire during the Republican presidential primary, but Kelly announced that she has since reconciled her differences with the former President.
“You know, all that nonsense between us is under the bridge, and he could not have been more magnanimous,” Kelly declared on her show in July following her meeting with Trump at a Turning Point USA conference.
At the peak of their feud, Kelly went after Trump during a 2015 primary debate she was moderating on Fox News.
“You’ve called women ‘fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals,’” Kelly said at the debate.
Trump fired back saying “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”
This time around, Kelly has already interviewed some of Trump’s GOP primary rivals including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.
No doubt, Megyn Kelly’s interview with Donald Trump will quickly generate a huge amount of interest and become one of the most talked about media events of the year.
