Mel Gibson has largely kept out of the publicity circus surrounding Hollywood for years now.
But he can’t bite his tongue forever.
And Mel Gibson hit Gavin Newsom with one accusation he may never recover from.
A total Democrat failure
As hard as it is to believe, the latest devastating California wildfires are still ravishing sections of the greater Los Angeles area.
Fortunately, reports indicate that much-needed rain could be coming to the area in the days ahead, potentially giving residents – not to mention exhausted firefighters – a much-needed reprieve.
But while most everyone involved wants nothing more than to get on with their lives, the reality of the catastrophic failure caused by the city and state’s Democrat-controlled government has outweighed all else.
To date, hundreds of thousands of California residents have been forced to evacuate their homes without anywhere else to go, while dozens of others have lost their lives – including many individuals who were physically unable to save themselves and were left behind by so-called governmental “leaders.”
Tens of thousands of homes, businesses, churches, and other structures have been decimated, driving total economic losses for the area into the hundreds of billions of dollars and blowing the previous record for the most expensive wildfire in American history out of the water.
And unlike many past natural disasters, this one didn’t just affect working-class Americans who have little to no recourse for protecting their properties or families in such situations.
Celebrities like Anthony Hopkins, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Jeff Bridges, Anna Faris, Ricki Lake, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Billy Crystal, Miles Teller, Tyra Banks, Barbara Corcoran, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, and many others also lost their homes to the fires.
And with that has come something rather peculiar and unprecedented – such aforementioned left-wing celebrities are no longer sticking to the Democrat Party’s talking points.
Actress Sara Foster took to X in the aftermath of the fires to specifically call out California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Karen Bass, and other California Democrats for their total incompetence.
“We pay the highest taxes in California,” Foster wrote on X. “Our fire hydrants were empty. Our vegetation was overgrown, brush not cleared. Our reservoirs were emptied by our governor because tribal leaders wanted to save fish. Our fire department budget was cut by our mayor. But thank god drug addicts are getting their drug kits.”
Foster went on to call for both Newsom and Bass to resign, telling them that “your far-Left policies have ruined our state. And also our party.”
Another actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar of Buffy The Vampire Slayer fame, also took aim at Bass on social media.
“You want everyone to evacuate yet you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping,” Gellar ranted.
Newsom did WHAT with California’s tax dollars?
Known conservative actor James Woods was even sure to point out to celebrities who kept to Democrats’ talking points that “this fire is not from ‘climate change,’ you ignorant a******.”
“It’s because liberal idiots like you elect liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass,” he added on X. “One doesn’t understand the first thing about fire management and the other can’t fill the water reservoirs.”
But few put incompetent California Democrats’ failure in perspective quite like Mel Gibson.
During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, host Joe Rogan blasted California Democrats’ failure, by telling Gibson, “They spent $24 billion last year on the homeless, and what did they spend on preventing these wildfires?”
“Zero,” Gibson replied.
“And in 2019, Newsom said, ‘I’m going to take care of the forest and maintain the forest’ — he didn’t do anything,” the actor added.
And that’s when Gibson dropped the ultimate accusation against Newsom.
“I think all our tax dollars probably went to Gavin’s hair gel,” Gibson joked.
Needless to say, with so many Americans waking up to the reality of the destruction Democrats’ woke agenda has caused California, Gavin Newsom will have a hard time living that Mel Gibson line down.
And with so many traditionally left-wing celebrities suddenly speaking out in opposition to the Democrat Party line, his hope for a future Presidential run may be going down the toilet.
