The administration is scheming to create the world’s largest office building twice the size of the headquarters of the military.
Until recently, the Pentagon, which covers about 30 acres, was the largest office building in the world.
But now the FBI has plans that dwarf that office complex.
It seems the agency isn’t content to be contained in the two city blocks it currently occupies between the White House and the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Now, agency officials are eyeing three possible locations in the capital’s neighboring states of Virginia and Maryland.
The parcels of land under consideration are massive at 58, 61, and 80 acres.
The logical choice would be to use the potential site in Springfield, Virginia already owned by the federal government; the other possible sites in Maryland would need to be purchased or leased.
However, what makes financial sense is likely to take a back seat.
It’s already clear that in choosing the next site for the FBI’s headquarters, the taxpayers who are footing the bill are being put last.
According to site selection criteria from the General Services Administration (GSA), the agency’s decision framework while building the world’s biggest office building will be structured around “advancing racial equity” and “environmental considerations.”
Based on an executive order issued by Joe Biden, the GSA claims any potential site must, “advance racial equity and support for underserved communities through the Federal Government.”
Incredibly, the GSA’s website went as far as listing the cost to hardworking taxpayers as the least important factor the government will use when making decisions about the FBI’s new digs.
Instead, the focus is on picking a site that will “address actions taken to advance environmental justice” according to Biden’s woke executive order.
Thanks to Midterm election results, Congressional Republicans have a shot at killing the funding for the FBI’s new headquarters.
Rather than expanding its power with a vast new complex, the formerly respectable FBI needs to be rebuilt from the inside.
Instead, Joe Biden is doing his best to use taxpayer money rewarding the federal police agency while agents shred the Constitution and violate Americans’ rights.
