As far as the Left is concerned, Michelle Obama can do no wrong.
Even though she is not directly involved with politics and never held elected office, many Democrats still believe she is the future of their party.
And now Michelle Obama could find herself back in the White House with this major 2020 campaign news.
Without Barack Obama, no one would have ever paid any mind to Michelle.
But she has made the most of her situation, riding Barack’s coattails to make a huge name for herself and becoming a celebrity in her own right.
So much so, in fact, that Michelle has been known to charge $200,000 just to speak at an event.
On top of that, her status with Democrats earned her a place on the New York Times best-selling author list and even a Grammy award for the same book.
Now she operates a production company with Barack and with their partnership with Netflix they can reach over 200 million Netflix subscribers.
Regardless of all that comes with being former president Barack Obama’s husband, it’s all empty for Michelle, as she still doesn’t seem satisfied – fame and fortune just isn’t enough.
Which is why many Americans are suspecting she will make a run at the White House sooner than later.
But Biden very recently, and after heavy controversy, was able to finally get Barack Obama’s endorsement for his 2020 bid for president.
Now that Biden has the endorsement and has made promises to bring a woman with him on the ticket as Vice President, most are guessing Michelle Obama is the obvious pick for a running mate.
Of course, Joe Biden is chomping at the bit to add the Obama’s status and hype to his presidential ticket.
Just this Monday, in an interview with CBS Pittsburgh, Biden gushed at the opportunity.
“I’d take her in a heartbeat,” Biden began. “She’s brilliant. She knows the way around. She is a really fine woman. The Obamas are great friends.”
However, Biden isn’t convinced Michelle would take the job, saying that, “I don’t think she has any desire to live near the White House again.”
This concession from Biden comes at a time after he has already promised to nominate a woman for Vice President, showing early on that he cares more about identity politics than who is best qualified.
With that mentality it’s no shocker that people like Michelle Obama, Stacey Abrams, and Elizabeth Warren are on a short list of picks for November.
With Biden constantly bewildering voters with gaffes, nonsensical outbursts, and short stories from his past, he thinks Michelle Obama would give his campaign a much-needed boost with his own base questioning his soundness of mind.
Michelle Obama is likely the best pick for Biden, but also the most unlikely to accept the nod and even if she did it may be too late for Biden now that America has begun to question if he is even fit to be in the race.
