Michelle Obama has been waging a personal war against Donald Trump since he returned to office.
She thought she had the perfect weapon to use against him.
But Michelle Obama got one nasty surprise after Trump exposed her biggest lie about the White House.
Obama launches coordinated media blitz against Trump's East Wing ballroom
Former First Lady Michelle Obama has been making the rounds on every liberal talk show to attack President Trump's decision to demolish the East Wing of the White House.
Obama appeared on Stephen Colbert's Late Show where she mockingly asked "Remember that?" when discussing the now-demolished East Wing.¹
She followed that up with a live podcast taping in Brooklyn where she claimed Trump's actions were "a reflection of how you think of that role" referring to the position of First Lady.²
She also complained during an NBC interview that "There's no guidebook" for being First Lady, and in a separate comment noted "now we don't have a building."³
The former First Lady has been positioning herself as the defender of White House tradition and the guardian of presidential norms.
She lectured Americans that "we always felt it was the people's house" and claimed her family "painstakingly tried to uphold" traditions "because it was bigger than us."⁴
Trump fires back with devastating reality check about White House functionality
President Trump wasn't about to let Obama's sanctimonious attacks go unanswered.
During an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News, Trump delivered a brutal fact-check of Obama's claims about the East Wing being some sacred space.
"They had an event [at the White House] the other day. With tables, they could hold 79 people," Trump explained.⁵
Trump pointed out the absurd reality that Obama and her husband left behind.
"Now, if you have President Xi from China, or if you have some big state event, we have no place to have it. You know what they did? They will put a tent on the lawn. It was a low section because that's the only section you have."⁶
The President didn't stop there in exposing how dysfunctional the White House had become under the Obamas' watch.
"If it rained, you were sitting in six inches of water. It was a disaster," Trump stated.⁷
Obama's hypocrisy exposed as Trump reveals the truth about White House history
Trump systematically dismantled Obama's claims about preserving White House tradition by revealing the actual history of the building.
"That building was renovated 20 times, including adding a floor to the top, which was terrible," Trump explained.⁸
The East Wing Obama is now mourning wasn't some pristine historical treasure that had remained untouched for centuries.
It had been repeatedly altered and modified throughout its existence, making Obama's claims about protecting White House history completely hollow.
Trump noted that the previous configuration "looked like hell" and "had nothing to do with the original building."⁹
The President made clear he "didn't want to sacrifice a great ballroom for an okay ballroom by leaving it right smack in the middle."¹⁰
Trump's new 90,000-square-foot ballroom will give the White House proper facilities to host major state functions for the first time in its history.
The privately-funded $300 million project will create space for nearly 1,000 people instead of forcing world leaders to sit in flooded tents on the South Lawn.
Michelle Obama's credibility crumbles under scrutiny
Obama's attacks on Trump fall apart when you examine what she and Barack actually left behind after eight years in office.
The former First Lady claims to care deeply about White House traditions, but she presided over a system so inadequate that major state dinners had to be held under leaky tents that flooded when it rained.
Her husband's administration couldn't even provide basic dignified accommodations for visiting world leaders.
Obama talks about the East Wing being "where life happened" and "where you felt light," but the reality is she oversaw facilities so cramped that the most powerful country on earth looked amateur when hosting international events.¹¹
The East Wing Obama is defending could only accommodate 79 people for formal dining, making it functionally useless for serious diplomatic purposes.
Michelle Obama's media blitz against Trump's ballroom project reveals the same pattern of leftist hypocrisy that Americans rejected in November.
She attacks Trump for making America look great on the world stage while defending the embarrassing arrangements she left behind.
Obama claims to represent White House tradition while ignoring that the building has been continuously renovated throughout its 200-plus year history, including major reconstructions under Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Franklin Roosevelt, and Harry Truman.
Trump's ballroom will restore dignity to American diplomacy and give the White House the world-class facilities befitting the world's greatest nation.
Michelle Obama's complaints just prove she never understood what it truly means to make America great.
