Barack and Michelle Obama continue to be Democrat royalty despite the failure they helped force on their Party with Kamala Harris.

And it turns out not everything is rosy for the Obama family.

Because Michelle Obama made one huge announcement about a massive shakeup looming large for her family.

Michelle Obama’s podcast announcement alludes to her future plans

Many Democrats have been begging for former First Lady Michelle Obama to run for President in 2028.

She so far has been reluctant to do so because she reportedly hates being in the spotlight.

However, that appears it might be changing with the launch of her new podcast project with her brother Craig Robinson.

The podcast is called IMO [in my opinion] and will feature a cavalcade of left-wing celebrity guests.

The new media landscape of podcasts and independent digital media outlets allowed Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign to successfully bypass the mainstream media and go straight to the American people.

As a result, the Left is now trying to join the fight on that front, and more and more Democrat figures are getting into podcasting, often with the hopes of using it as a launching pad for their own campaigns.

For example, California Governor Gavin Newsom recently launched his own podcast to try and jumpstart his 2028 Presidential campaign.

Could it be that Michelle Obama is doing the same?

She wrote in an Instagram post launching the podcast, “There’s a lot going on in the world right now. We’re living through some really complicated and confusing times and on top of that, folks are trying to juggle family life, work dynamics, relationships, aging parents, and more. That’s why my brother. . . and I are launching our new podcast.”

The Obamas have been involved in several media ventures, but this one has the feel of a soft campaign launch for the former First Lady.

She continued, “Now, Craig is one of the people I turn to whenever I have anything on my mind. He always has the insights, the wisdom, and the humor to get me through anything. Together, we’ll share our perspectives about some of your questions. And we won’t be doing it alone. We’ll be joined by special guests, friends, and experts along the way.”

There had been some speculation that Michelle Obama was considering jumping into the 2024 race, but Joe Biden scuttled those plans by naming Kamala Harris his successor.

Michelle Obama concluded, “I’m going to be honest. We don’t have all the answers. But there will be a lot of opinions. A lot of learning. And plenty of laughs. Because we all need some moments of light right now. And we want to hear from you, too! Tell us what you’re grappling with at imopod.com and in the comments below, and we might discuss it during a future episode.”

Is divorce coming soon?

The Obamas have been involved in increasing tabloid gossip over the past few months.

There has been speculation that Barack and Michelle were headed for a divorce.

Rumors were swirling that Barack was in a relationship with Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston.

The divorce rumors only grew after Michelle Obama refused to attend Jimmy Carter’s funeral as well as Donald Trump’s inauguration.

During a podcast discussion with leftist journalist Tara Palmeri, Meghan McCain asked, “I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people. I’m not talking about TMZ. I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend. I’m talking about, like, very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true. . .Do you agree with that? Have you heard that? Do you think it’s just garbage?”

Palmeri responded, “Oh, yeah! I mean, I’ve certainly heard it for a while, even before Michelle said she wasn’t coming to the inauguration, which also could be interpreted as, like, another act of resistance, which would only make her, like, more — if that’s really true and they stayed together — like more of a baddie in the movement when, like, there really is no one in the Democratic Party who is, like, holding that mantle aside from AOC.”

Whatever might be happening in her life, Michelle Obama certainly looks to be blazing her own path.
