Melania Trump stayed mostly behind the scenes and tried to avoid the spotlight during her husband’s first term in office.
But this time things are different, and Melania just landed her first magazine cover in 16 years.
And now, Michelle Obama is spitting nails over what Melania Trump’s interior designer exposed about Jill Biden’s White House.
Melania’s regal manner endeared her to many she works with and they aren’t shy about singing her praises
The First Lady of the United States plays an integral part in each Presidential administration.
Since the Constitution doesn’t list any specific duties for the First Lady, they have traditionally made their own rules and defined their own role in the administration.
Michelle Obama and Jill Biden both truly enjoyed the public spotlight and the fame and attention that goes with being the First Lady of the United States.
But Melania Trump is a different breed.
As Donald Trump once told Laura Ingraham, “You know, a lot of First Ladies would go out — they want to be everywhere, they get angry at their husband because he’s not introducing them,” but Melania is “just a different kind of a person.”
However, Melania seems to be taking a slightly different approach this time around by engaging more with the public.
Melania’s official photographer even told reporters that the First Lady is bringing “a different energy” to the White House in her second term and compared her to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“I always think she’s like the Queen of England,” she said.
Photographer Regine Mahaux brought up how respectful and kind Melania treats the staff at the White House.
“She would never whine, I’ve never seen her complain and when things are wrong, she says what she has to say [but] nothing mean, nothing rude,” Mahaux said. “She’s strong [but] always stands behind whatever her husband is happy to do.”
She also revealed that Melania has a sense of humor just like her husband.
“We laugh a lot; she’s very funny,” she said. “She’s also an amazing wife and a great working woman.”
Interior designer spills tea
Melania’s interior designer, Tham Kannalikham, added that the First Lady is a wonderful decorator and makes the White House beautiful.
In fact, she admitted that Jill Biden liked Melania’s decor so much that she hardly made any changes to Melania’s White House décor.
There are more than 130 rooms in the White House that require daily upkeep and require ongoing renovations.
“Together, we designed timeless interiors that respected the history of the house while incorporating today’s craftsmanship,” she said.
“Dr. Biden appreciated the quality and thoughtfulness of this work, making minimal changes to what Mrs. Trump and I completed,” she continued. “Notably, the Rose Garden and Tennis Pavilion, projects we executed during the first term, have been well-utilized and cherished by Dr. Biden and her family.”
Unlike Jill Biden, Melania had Michelle Obama’s furniture and decor removed within hours of her husband taking office for the first time.
“Mrs. Trump approaches every decision with intention and purpose,” Tham said. “As we plan projects for the next four years, this same mindset will guide our work, ensuring each effort carries significance.”
Class and good taste are finally back in the White House.
