Microsoft Exposed for One Election Plot That Has Donald Trump Fuming

Microsoft built its empire on software innovation.

But the tech giant’s behind-the-scenes activities are raising serious questions.

And Microsoft just got exposed for one election plot that has Donald Trump fuming.

Bill Gates and his cronies at Microsoft spent years building the censorship machine Democrats used to silence conservatives and swing elections.

Now a bombshell report reveals just how deep Microsoft’s tentacles reach into the government censorship apparatus.

And the Fair Election Fund just launched a major ad campaign to expose what Microsoft’s been hiding.¹

FTC Chairman takes aim at Big Tech censorship

FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson fired the first shot across Microsoft’s bow when he sent letters to major tech companies warning them about censoring Americans.

Ferguson’s message was crystal clear – Big Tech companies control the flow of information and they’ve been using that power to manipulate elections.

The Fair Election Fund didn’t waste any time connecting the dots between Microsoft’s massive political spending and its censorship activities.

Bill Gates secretly funneled $50 million to elect Kamala Harris through the dark money group Future Forward USA Action.²

Microsoft President Brad Smith and his wife hosted a fundraiser for the Biden Victory Fund while other tech CEOs attended President Trump’s inauguration.

Smith told a European journalist he had "better places to be" – meaning the globalist World Economic Forum in Davos instead of honoring the American President.

Microsoft built the censorship-industrial complex from the ground up

Microsoft created the Defending Democracy Program in 2018, partnering with universities and the federal government to stop what they called "junk news" and "state-sponsored disinformation."

In other words, anything that threatened Democrat power.

Microsoft Vice President Tom Burt became a regular at the Biden White House, meeting with National Security Advisor Anne Neuberger at least four times between 2022 and 2024.³

The company poured $1.76 million into Princeton Professor Jacob Shapiro’s "misinformation" research since 2018.

Shapiro also serves as special advisor to the director of national intelligence and pulled in more than $11.76 million from a controversial Defense Department psyops program.

Microsoft partnered with the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public and the Election Integrity Partnership – the same groups that worked with the FBI to flag and suppress speech during the 2020 election.

The revolving door between government censors and Microsoft

The pattern gets even more disturbing when you look at who Microsoft hired.

Key officials from Biden’s failed Disinformation Governance Board joined Microsoft after that disaster was shut down.

Nina Jankowicz’s colleagues from the DGB steering group found cushy jobs at Microsoft where they continue pushing censorship under corporate cover.

Former Stanford Internet Observatory leaders moved straight into Microsoft positions after their group was shuttered for coordinating with the government to censor Americans.⁴

Microsoft’s Tom Burt hosted workshops in 2020 warning about "deepfakes" threatening the election – threats that MIT Technology Review later concluded were wildly overblown.

But the scare tactics served their purpose – giving Big Tech an excuse to censor content they claimed might be fake.

Microsoft President Brad Smith told audiences that "disinformation in particular is one of the existential threats to democracy."

He said that while Microsoft was actively working to silence conservative voices and bury stories that hurt Democrats.

Microsoft’s election interference went far beyond censorship

During the 2022 midterm elections, Microsoft barred employees from donating to 147 Republicans including Senators Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, and House Speaker Mike Johnson.⁵

Democrats who objected to election certifications in 2000, 2004, and 2016 faced no such ban.

Microsoft’s PAC donated $24,000 to House members who objected to the 2016 election after Trump’s victory.

The double standard couldn’t be more obvious.

Microsoft opposed Georgia’s 2021 election security law, claiming it limited voting access even though 2022 turnout shattered records.

The company partnered with NewsGuard and the Global Disinformation Index – blacklist organizations that target conservative media outlets.

LinkedIn’s transparency reports showed massive spikes in "misinformation removals" during the coronavirus pandemic.

Most of that "misinformation" turned out to be accurate information that contradicted the approved narrative.

Microsoft’s China connections pose national security threat

Microsoft’s deep relationship with China creates serious risks for American elections and national security.

The company shares source code with Chinese entities and uses Chinese engineers for federal contracts.

That access could compromise election infrastructure and give Beijing leverage over American politics.

Reid Hoffman sits on Microsoft’s board while serving as one of the biggest Democrat donors.

Hoffman donated $7 million to help Biden and Harris and organized Silicon Valley fundraising for Harris.⁶

Just days before the July assassination attempt on President Trump, Hoffman made disgusting comments appearing to condone political violence against the Republican frontrunner.

When confronted about funding lawsuits against Trump, Hoffman said "I wish I had made him an actual martyr."

That kind of vicious partisan hatred has no place on the board of a company with this much power over Americans’ access to information.

The Fair Election Fund demands accountability

The Fair Election Fund laid out what needs to happen next.

"Microsoft must immediately implement transparency, independent oversight, robust privacy protections, and ideological neutrality to reverse its corrosive influence on democracy," the organization stated.⁷

The five-figure ad campaign targets Washington, D.C. lawmakers and regulators.

Congress needs to investigate Microsoft’s coordination with government agencies to censor Americans.

Antitrust regulators need to examine whether Microsoft’s market power combined with its political activism creates unfair advantages.

And voters need to understand how much money and influence Microsoft wielded to try to keep Trump out of office.

Microsoft bet big on Kamala Harris and lost spectacularly.

Now the company faces a reckoning under the Trump administration.

FTC Chairman Ferguson already put Microsoft on notice about censorship.

The question is whether Washington will finally hold Microsoft accountable for building the censorship machine that threatened American democracy.
