It’s been two years since Donald Trump and Mike Pence’s very public breakup.
Now they’re on a collision course that has them both eyeing the White House in 2024.
But Mike Pence inadvertently gave Donald Trump a huge helping hand that could change everything for 2024.
In what is becoming a major trend in the Washington, D.C. Swamp, Mike Pence’s lawyers have admitted they found classified documents from his time in office in the former Vice President’s possession.
“Documents with classified markings were discovered in former Vice President Mike Pence’s Indiana home last week”, his lawyer told the National Archives in a letter — “the latest in a string of discoveries of confidential information in private residences,” The Associated Press reported.
Obviously, Pence follows both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump as government officials who’ve been caught with classified documents they kept after leaving office.
But to Pence’s credit, the former Vice President did have just 12 documents total in his possession, far less than both Biden and Trump.
“The records ‘appear to be a small number of documents bearing classified markings that were inadvertently boxed and transported to the personal home of the former vice president at the end of the last administration,’ Pence’s lawyer, Greg Jacob, wrote in the letter shared with The Associated Press,” the report continued. “He said that Pence engaged outside counsel, with experience in handling classified documents, to review records stored in his personal home after it became public that documents with classified markings were found in President Joe Biden’s Wilmington residence.”
Of course, after the Biden regime’s coverup of the President’s classified documents scandal fell apart and it became clear he also took classified documents, Democrats’ plan to throw Trump in prison for possessing the documents also fell apart.
However, the revelation that Pence took classified documents as well has raised all sorts of additional questions.
On top of the obvious questions around the fact that FBI agents found it necessary to raid Trump’s home off his documents, but not Biden’s — even though the President and his regime repeatedly claimed all the documents were turned over only for more to pop up after the fact — there are now also questions over the security and abundance of classified documents.
Considering the number of classified documents found stuffed into so many current and former Presidents and Vice Presidents possessions after they leave office, it’s clear that not only are officials way too loose with classified documents, but far too many documents are being “classified” because they don’t want the American people to know what’s really going on.
Some reports have even indicated that President Biden has classified documents from his time as a Senator, which could date back as far as the 1970’s.
But most of all, Mike Pence’s classified documents have truly taken the heat off Trump — at least, for this specific issue.
Democrats, and likely establishment Republicans in the Primary, were undoubtedly going to hang the classified documents scandal over Trump’s head.
And now that their efforts have been complicated, Democrats are undoubtedly going to try to push classified documents off everyone’s radar and find a new angle to take out Trump.
