Mitt Romney has a long history of stabbing conservatives in the back.
But this latest betrayal takes the cake.
And Donald Trump was fuming over the confidential documents Mitt Romney handed over to left-wing reporters.
McKay Coppins, a left-wing reporter for the Atlantic, is gearing up to release his new book Reckoning, which is a biography that covers Mitt Romney’s 2012 Presidential campaign.
McKay interviewed Romney more than 30 times and Romney also gave him hundreds of personal emails and confidential text messages from over the years to use for the book.
The central thesis of McKay’s book is that the GOP is filled with racists and authoritarians.
Axios reports:
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) has turned over hundreds and hundreds of private emails, text messages and diary entries to reporter McKay Coppins for a book coming in October — including real-time communications among many of the most powerful figures in American politics, Axios has learned…
…”Romney: A Reckoning,” to be published Oct. 24, “offers Romney’s lively and at times devastating take on nearly every major political figure of the last 25 years,” a publishing source tells me.
The book “will also show Romney himself reckoning with what he considers his party’s slide toward authoritarianism and what role he may have played in empowering the extreme forces within the GOP.”
The book will be released in October.
Romney will make his decision on running for re-election just months after the book’s release.
Of course, Mitt Romney will face a conservative Primary challenge if he decides to run for another term, as he is the biggest RINO traitor since John McCain.
Romney joined the Democrats and voted to impeach Trump in both of the phony impeachment trials.
He also helped ram through the largest gun grab in 30 years, voted for the Green New Deal, imposed homosexual marriage on the entire country, and handed out billions of dollars in corporate welfare.
Romney is unpopular in Utah.
Polls show he is vulnerable to a conservative Primary challenge.
Romney trashing Republicans and other top officials in the Party in a book the year before he faces re-election is not a wise way to win over Republican voters.
But Romney has not committed to seeking re-election.
And some believe this book could be a sign that he is planning to retire and is burning down the house on the way out.
