Morgan Freeman is one of the greatest actors out there.
And he’s not afraid to speak out on political issues.
Now the best supporting actor Academy Award winner has just broken with the Left with this scathing opinion of Black History Month and the term “African American.”
Freeman earned his fame through performances in several blockbuster movies including The Shawshank Redemption, Seven, Driving Miss Daisy, and Million Dollar Baby.
He’s a big enough star that when Morgan speaks, he’s definitely heard.
As a radical leftist, he’s usually getting nodding heads and pats on the back in Hollywood circles.
During the pandemic, Freeman was onboard with the establishment Left pushing Dr. Fauci’s masks and vaccine mandates on the public and going after “anyone who has some issues with the idea of being vaccinated against this scourge.”
However, in a few areas, Freeman has decided to part ways with the Left’s agenda.
“I’m not in the least bit for defunding the police,” Freeman said during an interview with Black Enterprise Magazine back in 2021.
And now Freeman is once again taking issue with the Left making everything about race.
No doubt, that infuriated the Marxist wing of the Democrat’s Party.
And recently he went after some race baiters’ favorite tricks. While being interviewed by The Sunday Times in London, Freeman was quick to explain why he’s not a fan of the term “African-American” or “Black History Month.”
“Two things I can say publicly that I do not like,” Freeman started. “Black History Month is an insult,” adding that the favored leftist campaign is fundamentally demeaning.
“You’re going to relegate my history to a month?” he asked.
He then tore into the use of the term “African-American.”
“Also, ‘African-American’ is an insult,” Freeman continued. “I don’t subscribe to that title.”
“Black people have had different titles all the way back to the n-word and I do not know how these things get such a grip, but everyone uses ‘African-American,’” Freeman pointed out. “What does it really mean?”
“Most black people in this part of the world are mongrels,” he went on to say. “And you say Africa as if it’s a country when it’s a continent, like Europe.”
This isn’t the first time the actor has rocked the boat while the media establishment is running hard with the Black History Month campaign.
In 2005, he was on 60 Minutes when he told Mike Wallace “I don’t want a Black History Month.”
“How are we going to get rid of racism?” Wallace fired back.
“Stop talking about it,” Freeman explained.
But that’s the last thing the radical Left wants to do.
Racism is a powerful tool to use to create division among Americans and make it easier for political activists to gain more control.
