Florida Governor Ron DeSantis rose to prominence thanks in part to his willingness to stand up to hostile elements in the corporate-controlled media.
But one contingency of radical leftists isn’t willing to back down.
And MSNBC just put bashing Republicans ahead of saving lives with this Ron DeSantis snub.
As Hurricane Idalia bore down on Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis hit the pause button on his presidential campaign and did what he could to help brace Florida residents for the dangerous hurricane that was heading straight for his state with forecasted 125 mile per hour winds.
DeSantis started holding press conferences to get out critical information intended to help save lives as he received updates about the storm’s path and made emergency preparations in response to new information.
“Tuesday afternoon, DeSantis announced more than one million gallons of fuel are on standby to help with any fuel disruptions in light of the storm’s impacts,” FLVoice noted in an article. “He warned that tree debris will be a much larger problem because of the region of impact, compared to Hurricane Ian, which hit more densely populated Fort Myers and Southwest Florida.”
DeSantis tried to brace residents and visitors for “nasty weather” expected to begin Tuesday night and warned them to stay “vigilant” on the chance that the hurricane would suddenly deviate from its forecasted path.
Of course, the hurricane ranked as the biggest news story in the nation with Fox News and the Weather Channel focusing on the natural disaster, including covering DeSantis’ press conference to ensure as many people as possible were equipped with information that could help keep them safe.
Even CNN put DeSantis live on the network during his press conference to ensure the information got out to those who needed it the most.
But the leftists over at MSNBC proved that absolutely nothing trumps a political grudge in their books and refused to air the press conference despite the potentially life-saving information DeSantis was sharing.
Jeremy Redfern, DeSantis’ Press Secretary, called out the network in a social media post where he showed a screenshot of MSNBC’s Trump’s trial coverage while three other outlets broadcasted DeSantis’ emergency press conference.
Before hammering MSNBC, Redfern went out of his way to thank CNN for “taking the threat of Hurricane Idalia seriously.”
“I’d like to thank @FoxNews, the @weatherchannel, and @CNN (yes, even CNN) for taking the threat of Hurricane Idalia seriously,” he wrote on X. “@MSNBC, it’s disgraceful that you’re not concerned about your viewers in Florida.”

Media outlets including Fox News and CNN put aside their own plans to help prepare millions of people for an incredibly dangerous situation.
Meanwhile, political activists at MSNBC apparently weren’t willing to even take a short break to cover it during their wall-to-wall glee fest over Joe Biden’s efforts to wage lawfare against Donald Trump.
