Trey Gowdy invited Congresswoman Maria Salazar on his Fox News program Sunday Night in America.
Salazar destroyed one key pillar in Democrats’ election strategy in the interview.
The Florida Republican summed up the problem saying that Democrats failed Hispanic voters.
“We share the same values that are entrenched in the Republican party. God-fearing, law-abiding, tax-paying,” Salazar said during an interview on Fox News. “Not only that, that we are Americans, we’re not socialists. We want to come into the country and we want to contribute.”
A recent Wall Street Journal poll showed that if elections for Congress were held today, 37% of Hispanic voters would vote for a Democratic candidate and 37% would support the Republican. A fully 22% weren’t willing to commit one way or the other.
In that same poll, 54% of Hispanic voters said that they disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing.
Democrat data firm Catalist found that Hispanic voters’ support for Donald Trump increased by eight percent last year over 2015, according to a NewsMax report.
While Donald Trump shocked the nation by capturing a much bigger chunk of this group’s vote than expected, it looks like Joe Biden’s disastrous presidency is pushing even more of them to abandon the blue in favor of sanity.
Salazar says the shift in Hispanic voter loyalty is likely a permanent shift away from the Democratic party.
“We have realized after 30 years the Democratic party has been playing political football. So I said to my community that you got to be with whoever serves your values and whoever fixes your problems,” Salazar said. “We come here for two things. We come because we know this is the promised land, we want to share those fruits. And we want to have a better economy. We want to be able to go from rags to riches which is what this American exceptionality promises.”
Democrats despise American exceptionalism and think they essentially own every minority vote.
And it turns out a whole lot of Hispanic voters don’t like being grouped in with “progressive” lunatics.
Democrats may soon experience a painful dose of reality.
