Conservatives have ripped Democrats’ Green New Deal as really being about gaining more power and control over people’s lives.
More evidence is emerging showing Democrats don’t even believe their own rhetoric based on their actions.
Now, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is included in that after a report revealed that, as one of the Democrats leading the charge for the Green New Deal, she’s racked up extensive travel.
The official Party line among Democrats is that fighting climate change couldn’t be more important.
The Party promotes restricting freedom and imposing socialism on the country, under the guise of fighting that battle.
Party leaders insist the American people sacrifice their standard of living to help Nancy Pelosi and Democrats eliminate fossil fuels and limit carbon emissions.
Last year at the U.N.’s climate summit, Pelosi said “nothing can deter House Democrats from our urgent mission to save the planet.”
But Pelosi was traveling all across the country on private jets to try and help Democrats keep their majority in the House at the same time she was warning about the dangers of climate change.
According to campaign finance reports, Pelosi spent nearly $350,000 during the Midterm elections on private jets owned by Virginia-based charter flight company Advanced Aviation.
Advanced Aviation offers clients luxurious private jets that include personal flight attendants and feature a “comprehensive list of on-board amenities and sophisticated finishes.”
Of course, it’s not just Pelosi who refuses to live by her own rules and standards.
Socialist Bernie Sanders also uses luxurious private jets to travel around the country.
“The scientific community is telling us in no uncertain terms that we have less than 11 years left to transform our energy system away from fossil fuels to energy efficiency and sustainable energy, if we are going to leave this planet healthy and habitable for ourselves, our children, grandchildren, and future generations,” Sanders’ campaign website states.
However, Bernie Sanders spent over $71,000 on private jet flights during the Midterm elections campaign finance data show.
But it’s also not just Democrat politicians who are hypocrites on the climate change agenda.
NextGen Climate Action Committee, which is one of the leading left-wing radical environmentalist groups, spent nearly $57,000 on private jets.
Private planes emit 10 times more carbon than commercial flights do and 50 times more than trains, making it the most carbon-intensive way to travel.
Democrats constantly warn that climate change is a planet-ending crisis with only one solution: restricting carbon emissions.
But if they really believed the seriousness of their own rhetoric, they would not be crisscrossing the country on private jets just to try and win an election.
