San Francisco-based former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi likes to pretend she’s all for the biggest Democrat talking points.
But she just hit an unbelievable career milepost sure to infuriate her base.
And one accounting line-item that could land her in jail.
In an era where Democrats are trying to force Americans to give up their gasoline vehicles, Rep. Nancy Pelosi just proved she’s one of the biggest gas guzzlers out there.
The former House Speaker and Democrat Congresswoman’s financial records just revealed she’s racked up jet expenses totaling nearly $700,000 since late 2020.
The payments to Advanced Aviation Team were all paid by Nancy Pelosi for Congress, according to data collected by the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
Exactly why the former speaker had to blow so much on transportation during a time period when much of the nation—especially her state—was mostly locked down with people working remotely is a mystery.
But one thing is clear, if Pelosi has been using taxpayer or campaign funds to pay for the private jets for personal purposes she could be in all kinds of trouble.
According to the FEC, using campaign contributions for personal use is flat out illegal.
Her spending on private jets this year—even after refusing to be demoted to House Minority Leader after the GOP regained power in the fall—has continued.
In March her campaign cut a check for $43,663.80 to the private jet service.
Exactly why she has to drop that kind of cash to keep her seat in one of the safest districts in the country is baffling.
The 81-year-old has held her district since June 2, 1987.
And unlike her colleagues from rural areas like Alaska and Wyoming she doesn’t have a vast amount of territory to cover in an effort to meet with her constituents.
While Alaska’s sole US House Representative has to campaign over an area of 665,400 square miles, Pelosi’s densely populated district covers a mere 38.97 square miles.
Of course, the news about Pelosi’s jet-setting on her campaign’s dime has the internet all kinds of riled up.
“That’s why she wants you on a bus,” Twitter user Scot8004by1 wrote. “She needs the fuel for her airplane.”
“Insider trading pays well,” @Professor_bobo quipped.
“@SpeakerPelosi couldn’t care less about ‘green,’” @Scotty_Flenner quipped.
While Democrats rant and rave about “privileged” Republicans, Nancy Pelosi seems remarkably attached to her high-end lifestyle funded by others.
