In the weeks leading up to the election, all the Fake News Media could spew out was the certainty of the massive “blue wave” set to sweep the nation on November 3.
Democrats were expected to gain seats in the House, seize control of the Senate, and wipe the floor with President Trump.
But Nancy Pelosi got the worst news of her life as these critical election results rolled in.
With seats still yet to be called, the Fake News Media believes Democrats will surely maintain control of the House of Representatives.
As the results were coming in though, it’s evident Democrat’s underperformed in the polls as the GOP began picking up seats in contested districts across the country.
Breitbart reports:
“In New Mexico’s second district, Yvette Herrell beat Democrat incumbent Rep. Xochitl Torres Small. In South Carolina’s 1st district, Nancy Mace beat Democrat incumbent Joe Cunningham. In Minnesota’s 7th district, Michelle Fischbach beat incumbent Democratic Rep. Collin Peterson.”
The results were astonishing considering Republicans were vastly outspent by Democrats as POLITICO reported just before the election.
“In the most competitive 94 districts, Democrats have booked over $177 million in ads since Sept. 1, while their GOP opponents have booked $93 million, according to a POLITICO analysis of advertising data. Republican outside groups have partly made up the difference, but the party is still bracing for a string of defeats next month.
At this point, it’s pretty clear there’s going to be losses. The question is just how many, and if Republicans can keep it in the mid to high single digits,” said Ken Spain, a GOP strategist and former communications director for House Republicans’ campaign arm. “The money and the momentum is so significantly one-sided.”
While Americans wait for Democrat controlled states to finish counting their mail-in ballots, one thing is established, things aren’t looking good for Nancy Pelosi.
As the current House Speaker, if her party loses seats in an election that many in her party assumed and predicted to be a landslide victory, radicals in the party like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are going to press for new leadership.
And Nancy Pelosi’s days as Speaker of the House may be numbered.
