Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been the Democrat Party leader for more than 20 years.

But Pelosi just got some really bad news.

And now Nancy Pelosi is facing a major breakdown after receiving one message that proves this is the end.

Nancy Pelosi creates increasing friction within the Democrat Party

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is considered the Democrat most responsible for forcing Joe Biden to quit the 2024 presidential race.

But after Donald Trump roundly defeated Kamala Harris, winning both the popular and electoral votes, Pelosi was quick to try and duck all responsibility.

In an interview with The New York Times, Pelosi blamed Joe Biden for Trump’s win, saying he stayed in the race too long.

“Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” Pelosi told The Times.

Pelosi also threw Kamala Harris under the bus, saying when Biden dropped out the plan was for there to be an open process so Democrats could pick a stronger candidate.

“The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary,” Pelosi added.

“I think [Harris] would have done well in that and been stronger going forward. But we don’t know that. That didn’t happen. We live with what happened,” Pelosi continued.

Pelosi also blamed Biden for saddling Democrats with a weak candidate when he endorsed Kamala Harris immediately after dropping out of the race.

Biden’s quick endorsement of Harris ended any realistic chance for anyone to challenge her for the nomination.

“And because the President endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a Primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different,” Pelosi concluded.

Nancy Pelosi now facing major blowback

For more than 20 years, Democrats have looked at Nancy Pelosi as the female version of The Godfather’s Michael Corleone.

But now that Pelosi is no longer the leader in Congress and the party suffered a generational defeat, Democrats feel more emboldened to tell Pelosi to sit down and shut up.

“She needs to take a seat,” a top Democrat told Axios in response to Pelosi’s comments to The Times.

“Making scattershot comments is not just unhelpful, it’s damaging,” the Democrat added.

A member of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) said Pelosi assuming such a public role in the wake of the election undermined the ability of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) to lead the conference in this new political environment.

“Hakeem has been tremendously graceful and respectful of her, but I don’t think she is being respectful of him,” the Democrat explained to Axios.

This CBC member also bluntly told Axios that it was time for Pelosi to ride off into the sunset.

“I understand that this is a difficult transition for her, not being the leader, but she is not,” the CBC members continued.

“She needs to understand what her new role is,” the CBC member declared.

But Pelosi so far isn’t taking the hint.

Instead, the 84-year-old Pelosi filed paperwork to run for another term in 2026.

And unless she faces a credible primary challenge, she is sure to win yet another term to represent the deep blue district.

But her days as a Democrat leader are now at an end.
