Democrats are defending razor-thin majorities in the upcoming 2022 Midterm elections.
There is little room for error.
And Nancy Pelosi just got handed some top secret poll numbers that will keep her up at night.
If Republicans gain six seats in the House of Representatives in the 2022 Midterm elections, Nancy Pelosi will lose her majority and her position as House Speaker.
And the bad news for Pelosi is that the number of competitive districts are rapidly expanding.
According to a new poll commissioned by the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee (NRCCC), in eighty-five battleground districts, Republicans are leading Democrats 43 to 40 percent on the generic ballot question.
Historically, the President’s approval ratings largely determine the outcome of the Midterm election.
And key voting blocs from 2020 have turned on Joe Biden.
“Many of the groups that powered Biden to the presidency have now soured on him, as he is underwater with Hispanics (-5 percent) and college-educated white voters (-3 percent). A majority of voters (53 percent) do not believe Joe Biden is competently running the country. Among independents, 62 percent do not believe Biden is competent,” the NRCC polling memo read.
Economy, immigration and inflation were the top three issues for voters.
Joe Biden’s COVID policies crushed the economy and created the supply chain backlogs driving the current inflation.
And Biden’s big spending socialist agenda is devaluing the dollar while his open border policies created the record-breaking numbers of illegal immigrants that entered the country this year.
In the 85 battleground districts that were polled, key swing voting groups gave Republicans huge advantages on the top issues that will determine the outcome of the election.
“Among independents, Republicans have a +37 percent advantage on the border, +24 percent advantage on making the country prosperous, +18 percent advantage on jobs and the economy, and +9 percent advantage on cost of living,” the polling memo added.
These polls are the main reason why key House Democrats are retiring early in order to avoid a bruising in the 2022 Midterms.
