House Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats have long awaited this moment.
They were scheming to play political games the like the country has never seen.
But then Nancy Pelosi made this one mistake that could come back to bite the Democrats in November.
The New York Times dropped another one of their “bombshells” recently, making unsubstantiated claims that President Trump has paid nothing in income taxes over ten of the last 15 years.
Many have since looked into the story and found that this so-called “bombshell” is just more shoddy reporting by the biased New York Times.
Trump paid his taxes and often did so in a manner to where he was paid up through the next year via the tax credits he received.
The hit piece from The Times also claimed Trump owed near $300 million in loans that would come due in 2022, but no one knows who this money is owed to.
In a recent interview on MSNBC, Pelosi tried to play politics with the report.
“I’m an intelligent person, as you know and I do know that if there is a review of somebody if they’re going to be federally appointed to a job or whatever, if they have outstanding debt, that is an important factor, because that means somebody else has leverage over them. This president appears to have over $400 million in debt, $420 million, whatever it is, million dollars in debt. To whom? Different countries? What is the leverage they have? So for me, this is a national security question.”
Taking The New York Times for their word is foolish. So for Nancy Pelosi to make a point that she is “intelligent” before raising national security concerns based solely on the reporting of a biased political actor in The New York Times is disturbing.
“In addition, to which it’s so strange that in 2017 the president paid $750 in federal taxes, and he paid over $300,000 in taxes to other countries that we know of. It may be more. So, again, let’s come back to – we take an oath to protect and defend. This president is a commander-in-chief. He has exposure to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, to whom? The public has a right to know,” Pelosi continued in her rant.
Of course, there are a lot of problems with what Pelosi said.
For starters, her claims about the President are lies. Trump’s debts are public knowledge listed on financial disclosure forms.
It's not that hard folks. Not sure why people keep treating this as some sort of mystery. https://t.co/NhaQwU7Q3t pic.twitter.com/kNFiG9X7iH

Secondly, if Pelosi were so concerned about the responsibilities that politicians in Washington, D.C. have to the public, why has she spent her career recklessly spending through taxpayer money and shredding the liberties guaranteed to Americans in the Constitution?
The Times knows their story is libel, but the Left is pulling out all the stops ahead of November to run Trump’s name through the mud in an attempt to seize total control of government and begin the largest Big Government power grab the country has ever seen.
Swamp creatures like Pelosi are hoping for a Biden victory on Election Day.
