The Democrat Party is a mess.
It’s much worse than anyone ever predicted.
And Nancy Pelosi’s jaw dropped when she found out she was betrayed by the two people she never expected.
For the past two years, Nancy Pelosi imposed an authoritarian mask mandate on the floor of the U.S. House, with hefty fines for those who violated her order.
Despite the fact that every Democrat has taken the widely-available vaccine, Pelosi and her caucus continue to walk around in outright fear of COVID.
However, some Democrats are beginning to fear losing their majority even more.
And Democrats Dan Kildee and Susan Wild, who both represent swing districts in Pennsylvania, just publicly defied Nancy Pelosi by calling for an end to her mask mandate in the U.S. House.
“‘We follow the science and are our medical advisers, but I think the time will come sooner rather than later’ to end the House mask requirement, Rep. DAN KILDEE (D-Mich.) told Playbook. ‘I wish more of my colleagues were vaccinated, but … I think we will have to modify our approach to the pandemic as it changes. … Hopefully sometime this spring,’” POLITICO Playbook reported.
“Democratic Rep. SUSAN WILD, a frontliner from Pennsylvania, agreed,” POLITICO Playbook continued, adding that “as a member of the House Ethics Committee that’s been tasked with enforcing Democrats’ mask fining policy, she’s been frustrated that so much of the panel’s work has been focused on this issue.”
“‘The Ethics Committee has sadly been turned into the mask police, and we’re spending way too much time on mask violation issues,’ she said. ‘When we come back [from recess] … in early March, unless there’s been some new strain or variant, I think it’s time to get rid of the masked mandate,’” POLITICO Playbook concluded.
Democrats can see the writing on the wall, as a Monmouth University poll showed 70 percent of Americans are ready for a return to normal life.
If voters see them as the Party of mandates and restrictions, Democrats know it will lead to a bloodbath at the polls in November.
Democrat members of Congress still walking around in masks just sends the picture to voters that the pandemic will never end as long as they remain in power.
And members of Nancy Pelosi’s own Party even realize that her House mask mandate only fuels the narrative that Democrats will never let go of COVID hysteria and allow a return to normal life.
