After the second Presidential debate was canceled, President Trump attended a so-called “town hall” event in Miami with NBC News.
President Trump knew he was walking into a hostile environment.
And NBC’s attempts to rig their town hall against President Trump just blew up in their faces.
All the Fake News Media could talk about in the run-up to President Trump’s town hall with NBC News was that NBC staffers were livid the network decided to host a town hall event with the President at the same time ABC was hosting a town hall event with Joe Biden in Pennsylvania.
New York Times media columnist Ben Smith laid bare the trap NBC had set for the President.
“Enormous pressure on NBC now to make this thing a nightmare for Trump,” Smith wrote to his social media followers.
And NBC’s moderator, Savannah Guthrie certainly tried her best.
Guthrie sparred with President Trump, frequently interrupting him, and posing questions to him about pet topics the Beltway media are obsessed with like the QAnon conspiracy theory that few American actually know, or care, anything in the slightest about.
Once the debate was over, the Trump campaign released a statement congratulating the President on “soundly defeating” Guthrie, who the campaign accused of being a Biden surrogate.

Actual undecided voters watching at home couldn’t believe, and were even turned off by, Guthrie’s biased behavior.
“My focus group overwhelmingly preferred @GStephanopoulos tonight over @SavannahGuthrie as town hall host. They liked how George gave Biden a chance to answer without interruption. They complained that Savannah was too confrontational and acted like she was debating Trump,” pollster Frank Luntz wrote on social media.
The truth is, it doesn’t matter what network President Trump appears on, or what big name host in the so-called “mainstream” media interviews him, the network executives are determined to stage the event in a way that tries to make the President look bad.
