But no one expected CNN to throw Joe Biden under the bus in this surprising way.
CNN is undergoing a slow shift in coverage.
While most of the left-wing press are still making excuses for President Joe Biden’s disastrous record, it appears the cable news outlet sees the writing on the wall and is making moves driven by the polls.
According to the latest government report, inflation recently surged to 8.5 percent, the highest level since 1981.
This is why polls show that skyrocketing inflation is a top concern of voters heading into the Midterm elections.
As usual, pro-Democrat Party propagandist Yamiche Alcindor of NBC News lamented the fact that polls showed 38 percent of Americans blamed the Biden administration for skyrocketing gas prices while only six percent blamed Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
“When I talk to White House officials, they understand that there is this real messaging issue that has to happen, especially when you look at this poll, the number that jumped out to me was the fact that 38% of Americans are blaming Biden’s policies for inflation and gas prices and only 6% are blaming Russia,” Alcindor stated. “Remember that President Biden wanted to call this Putin’s price hike. Remember, that was the sort of White House messaging. So this really goes to the idea that the President and the White House says that they have always been focused on cost of living and the economy, but this really needs to be in some ways a re-centering of that while also having to deal with what’s going on abroad.”
Alcindor believes the poll numbers are the result of a failure by the White House to effectively communicate their message.
However, some of Biden’s left-wing press pals at CNN did not buy this spin, with the cable news outlets’ polling analyst Harvey Enten saying it was absurd to believe the reason the administration was tanking in the polls was due to an error on messaging.
“I think there’s this whole idea, ‘Oh, the White House is just losing the messaging war, you know. If only they knew how good the job situation was.’ But if you ask Americans, why do you think the economy is bad, it’s inflation. The voters know exactly what’s going on. They’re not stupid. Eighty-six percent say inflation. Only 17% say unemployment, if they believe the economy is in bad shape… They believe the economy is in bad shape because of inflation, and that’s across the board- Democrats, Republicans, Independents,” Enten explained.
CNN is becoming more critical of the Biden administration by the day, as the network recently published a story confirming the contents of the “laptop from hell” were real.
Of course, the motivation behind CNN’s slow shift in coverage is entirely driven by the polls, which shows Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup.
And CNN is only assisting with the effort to force Joe Biden to step down so Democrats can choose another candidate to run against Trump in 2024.
