Democrat congressional candidates love running on unity and bringing people together.
But one New York candidate just discovered his wife destroyed that message.
And NY-17 candidate Peter Chatzky's wife posted something about the Bible that just destroyed his campaign.
NY-17 Congressional Candidate Peter Chatzky Preached Unity While Wife Susan Trashed Christians on Facebook
Peter Chatzky is a wealthy tech executive running to unseat Republican Representative Mike Lawler in New York's 17th Congressional District.
He launched his campaign in June 2025 with all the usual Democrat talking points.
"We're one America," Chatzky told The Examiner News when announcing his run.
He said he wanted to end the "hatred and divisiveness" in politics and promised "we can all be successful together."
Turns out his wife Susan didn't get the memo.
The Daily Caller News Foundation just exposed her secret Facebook posts trashing Christians and Trump supporters.
"I really, really, really, don't care about your f***ing stupid Bible," Susan Chatzky wrote in December 2021.
She compared the Bible to Nancy Drew books and mocked people who take their faith seriously.
Her husband was out campaigning about bringing Americans together while his wife called half of them stupid for believing in God.
The hypocrisy is breathtaking even by Democrat standards.
DHS Advisor Susan Chatzky's Facebook Posts Expose Democrat Contempt for Christians and Trump Supporters
Susan Chatzky didn't stop at insulting the Bible.
She called for deporting white men in their 20s in response to a mass shooting graphic from 2015.
"I hate to say this, but I think we need to deport white men in their 20's," she wrote.
When someone pushed back, she doubled down and said white men should be sent to internment camps instead.
She reacted positively to a story about a woman whose mother got punched at a pro-Trump rally.
"This gives me hope," Susan wrote about violence against Trump supporters.
She also argued that members of Congress who didn't wear masks should face criminal prosecution.
But here's what makes this story bigger than just one candidate's wife shooting her mouth off on Facebook.
Susan Chatzky served as a senior policy advisor in Biden's Department of Homeland Security until January 9, 2026.
Think about that for a second.
A woman who thinks Christians are stupid for reading the Bible was helping shape America's security policy.
A woman who fantasized about deporting white men to internment camps had access to DHS resources and intelligence.
This is the Biden administration in a nutshell — filled with people who view conservatives as the enemy while lecturing everyone else about tolerance.
DHS placed her on administrative leave when her posts went public and she was gone from government by January 9.
But how many others just like her are still buried in the bureaucracy, making decisions that affect Americans they openly despise?
Peter Chatzky is trying to flip one of the most competitive House seats in the country.
NY-17 is one of only three GOP-held districts that Kamala Harris carried in 2024, though she won it by less than one percentage point.
He faces a tough Democratic primary against Army combat veteran Cait Conley and Rockland County legislator Beth Davidson, who appear to be the favorites of national Democrats.
Chatzky pledged to spend $5 million of his personal wealth to shake up the race.
Now he has to explain why his wife was posting anti-Christian bigotry while he talked about compassion.
Good luck with that in the Hudson Valley, where churches still matter and people don't appreciate being called stupid for their faith.
The National Republican Congressional Committee jumped on the hypocrisy immediately.
"Radical Democrat Peter Chatzky and his wife are despicable," said NRCC spokeswoman Maureen O'Toole.
"They unabashedly support using hateful, discriminatory rhetoric and violence to get what they want. That is no way to lead, and Chatzky is unfit to serve the Hudson Valley in Congress."
Susan Chatzky also served on the board of a local Planned Parenthood center, which won't help her husband win over swing voters in a district Trump nearly won.
This is the real Democrat Party, not the sanitized version they sell during campaigns.
They smile and talk about unity while mocking your faith behind closed doors.
They preach tolerance while fantasizing about sending their political opponents to camps.
They lecture about civility while celebrating violence against people they disagree with.
Peter Chatzky can't buy back the credibility he lost when America learned what his wife really thinks about Christians.
Representative Lawler should send the Daily Caller a thank you note for exposing the Chatzkys before voters had to find out after the election.
Hudson Valley Christians now know exactly what the Chatzky family thinks of them and their "f***ing stupid Bible."
