One of the biggest names in the Democrat Party is currently wrapped up in several scandals.
But some of the scandals don’t involve politics.
And now one Attorney General just opened up a criminal investigation into one of Joe Biden’s top allies that could spell more trouble for the Democrats.
Letitia James, Attorney General for the state of New York, recently opened up an investigation into whether or not Governor Andrew Cuomo used his staff and state resources to help write his book, American Crisis, which praised his leadership during the pandemic.
Using staff and state resources would violate state law.
The New York Times reported:
The New York State attorney general has opened an investigation into Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s use of state resources as he wrote and promoted his recent pandemic memoir, the latest inquiry to engulf the embattled three-term Democrat.
The investigation followed disclosures that junior staff members and senior aides worked on Mr. Cuomo’s book, “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the Covid-19 Pandemic,” including editing early drafts, sitting in on pitch meetings, and menial tasks like printing and delivering manuscript pages to the governor’s mansion.
Andrew Cuomo is now facing four separate investigations into allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment as well as his bungling of the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent cover up.
He’s also under investigation for covering up the true death toll that resulted from his disastrous decision to force nursing homes to take in COVID-19 patients.
In just one year, Cuomo went from being someone the Democrats were talking about replacing Joe Biden with to someone who is facing multiple investigations and likely won’t run for a fourth term as Governor.
