Justin Trudeau got backed into a corner.
After dismissing the Freedom Convoy as a “fringe minority,” he turned around and invoked the Emergencies Act to deal with the protesters.
And one of Justin Trudeau’s former allies just made an announcement that sent the Left into a frenzy.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford comes from a well-known political family in Canada, with both him and his late brother, Rob, serving in political office along with their father, Doug Sr., who was a member of the Ontario Legislative Assembly during the 1990s.
Doug Ford recently declared a state of emergency as a result of the trucker protest, calling the Freedom Convoy a “siege of Ottawa” and an “illegal occupation.”
However, Doug Ford apparently changed his views.
And last week, after declaring a state of emergency, Ford reversed course and said it’s time to lift the COVID restrictions.
“There’s rebel rousers, and there are just hard-working people that just don’t believe in it, and that’s their choice. This is about democracy and freedoms and liberties. I hate as a government telling anyone what to do, we just have to get out of this and move forward and protect the jobs,” Ford stated.
Ford and his Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kieran Moore, announced that Ontario would be joining four other provinces in ending the vaccine passport system.
During his announcement, Ford said it’s time for the world to move on from COVID.
“Everyone’s done with this, like, we are done with it,” Ford said of capacity limits. “Let’s just start moving on, cautiously. The world’s done with it, let’s just move forward.”
Ford admitted that when it comes to vaccines, even if someone has had multiple booster shots, they can still get COVID.
“We also know that it doesn’t matter if you have one shot or 10 shots, you can still catch COVID-19. You see the Prime Minister, he has triple shots, and I know hundreds of people with three shots, who caught COVID-19. We just need to be careful, always make sure we wash our hands and move forward,” he stated.
The situation in Canada is a prime example of why it’s time for people to stand up and resist the COVID tyranny and demand their freedoms back and a return to normalcy.
