Americans voted to send Donald Trump back to the White House for the sole purpose of eliminating the Deep State’s stranglehold on power.
But the Deep State has no interest in losing any of the power or control they have over the nation.
And now outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray laid this massive trap for Donald Trump when he returns to the White House.
Watch your step
President-elect Donald Trump fired a shot across the bow of the Deep State with his decision to nominate former Department of Defense Chief of Staff Kash Patel as the next FBI Director.
Current FBI Director Christopher Wray previously announced that he would be resigning before Trump takes office – a move clearly designed to avoid being fired.
“After weeks of careful thought, I’ve decided the right thing for the bureau is for me to serve until the end of the current administration in January and then step down,” Wray declared. “My goal is to keep the focus on our mission — the indispensable work you’re doing on behalf of the American people every day. In my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the bureau deeper into the fray, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work.”
But as Wray prepares to leave his position and make way for the incoming Trump administration, he’s also apparently laying a major trap for Trump and Patel.
According to a report from The Washington Post, Wray has begun a frantic effort to promote senior Bureau officials in order to “burrow establishment figures deeper within the FBI.”
Obviously, that would be a spanner in the works for Trump and Patel’s plan to reform the FBI and other Deep State agencies by removing deeply embedded establishment figures and reforming the agency.
Furthermore, Wray’s decision to resign rather than wait to be fired has also changed the FBI’s vacancy process.
No one better for the job than Patel
The Vacancies Reform Act requires that anyone appointed to fill a vacancy that requires Senate confirmation to be someone who previously worked in a senior position at the agency prior to the resignation or have already been confirmed by the Senate previously.
That will allow FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate – who should be fired rather than promoted – to take over as acting FBI Director until the Senate confirms Patel, preventing Trump from simply appointing his nominee as acting Director until Patel is confirmed.
As things stand, it could still be months before the Senate confirms Patel as FBI Director, but as he’s told the media previously, he’s ready to hit the ground running from day one.
“I look forward to a smooth transition,” Patel said. “I will be ready to serve the American people on day one.”
The Deep State will stop at nothing to stop Trump and the America First movement from restoring the power of the people and wiping out the ruling class’ corruption.
But Patel also knows as well as anyone that cleaning up the mess at the FBI is going to be a long, arduous process no matter when he starts.
And he and Donald Trump are ready to do the hard work needed to fulfill their promises to Americans.
