Panel erupted in chaos after one Democrat made this stunning accusation over Alina Habba

Following Alina Habba’s announcement of charges against LaMoncia McIver, CNN analyst Scott Jennings clashed with Democrat Julie Roginsky over an alleged ICE "body slam" incident when she told him to take off his "MAGA goggle glasses" while debating video evidence of the detention facility confrontation.

Democrats know they can’t win an argument on facts so they always resort to name-calling.

A CNN panel just proved this once again.

And one CNN panel erupted into chaos after a Democrat made this stunning accusation about MAGA.

Democrats keep attacking ICE agents

Democrats have spent years demonizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The Biden-Harris administration’s open border policies put these agents in impossible situations while millions of illegal aliens poured across the southern border.

Now there’s a renewed controversy between Democrats and ICE agents at a detention facility in Newark, New Jersey.

On May 9, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Representatives Rob Menendez and Bonnie Watson Coleman – all Democrats – were arrested during what they called an “oversight visit” at the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility.

The charges against Mayor Baraka have since been dropped, but Acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba announced charges against Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) over an incident that took place during the confrontation.

Trump administration officials claimed Rep. McIver “body-slammed” an ICE agent, and video of the incident has become the center of a heated debate.

CNN panel goes off the rails

The incident was discussed on Monday night’s edition of CNN NewsNight with host Abby Phillip, who brought in a panel including Republican analyst Scott Jennings and Democratic strategist Julie Roginsky, along with others.

The conversation quickly turned into a heated exchange when Jennings suggested the video clearly showed an “assault” by Rep. McIver.

“It’s not a cheap fake, I can assure you with that,” Jennings said, defending the video’s authenticity.

That’s when Roginsky made a stunning accusation.

“Let me tell you something. If you took off your MAGA (INAUDIBLE) glasses and look at it—” Roginsky shot back.

“It’s not a cheap fake. It’s a real video,” Jennings responded.

The exchange highlighted the deep political divide over the incident, with Democrats and Republicans viewing the same footage through completely different lenses.

Democrat claims conflict of interest

Roginsky wasn’t done attacking the Trump administration. She suggested Attorney General Pam Bondi had a conflict of interest in the case.

“These kinds of charging cases are not made by Alina Habba or any United States attorney in the district of New Jersey. If you’re indicting an elected official, especially a federal official, it is made in Main Justice always,” Roginsky claimed. “Pam Bondi is the attorney general of the United States. It is ultimately her decision.”

She then accused Bondi of a conflict of interest.

“Pam Bondi was the lobbyist for the geo group, which owns Delaney Hall, which has a $1.2 billion with a B contract at Delaney Hall,” Roginsky stated. “And, of course, probably does not want her former client being impeded from having members of Congress performing their oversight responsibilities.”

“This thing is rotten from start to finish,” she concluded. “This attorney general should never have been involved in charging anybody for a former client that benefits a former client.”

Congresswoman claims self-defense

Rep. McIver has a different version of events than what Trump officials are claiming.

When discussing what happened at the facility, Phillip noted, “The congresswoman, after this incident happened, she actually said that she was being pushed and shoved. One, she said there was one ICE officer when I was entering back into the gate to the facility, where he was literally using his elbows, shoulders, everything, pushing against me not to let me in.”

Mayor Baraka, who was also on the panel, added another perspective, stating, “It’s not the whole video either. It’s not the whole video.”

This suggests there may be more context to the confrontation than what’s been shown in the clips circulating online.

The heated CNN exchange is just the latest example of how deeply divided Americans have become over immigration enforcement. With both sides unable to agree even on what a video clearly shows, finding common ground on actual immigration policy seems further away than ever.

The Department of Homeland Security has yet to release the full, unedited footage of the incident, which might provide more clarity about what actually happened at the detention facility.
