Kamala Harris is an embarrassment as Vice President.
Joe Biden only picked her because she ticked off the right boxes.
But now Democrats are panicking after Kamala Harris made one shocking confession about the border crisis.
Title 42 is a policy instituted by Donald Trump during the pandemic that allows the government to swiftly deport illegal aliens back to their home countries after they crossed the border.
The Biden administration is planning to end Title 42, which already created a surge of illegal aliens preparing to enter the country.
Experts are predicting as many as 14,000 illegal aliens to enter the country every day once Title 42 is gone.
In El Paso, Texas, the Mayor recently declared a state of emergency where he warned residents that the city could no longer guarantee their safety.
During an interview with NPR, White House correspondent Asma Khalid asked Harris how the administration would deal with the massive increase in border crossers expected when Title 42 ends.
“I’m curious if there’s anything you feel that you all can do unilaterally, and I guess I say this in part because the Governor of your home state of California, he told ABC News that ‘what we’ve got right now [is not] working.’ … He said that ‘it’s about to break in a post-42 world unless we take [some] responsibility and ownership.’ And it sounds like the situation in certain states — I guess in California in particular — is incredibly dire with a fear that things will become unsustainable in the weeks ahead,” Khalid asked.
Harris’ answer did not reassure Americans.
“Well, listen, I think that it is right to say that we need leadership on this issue, in particular from Congress. Now, the President and I and our administration, we are going to do everything that’s within our ability as the executive branch, and that means, again, putting more agents on the border as appropriate so that we can manage what might be an influx. It is about increasing the work that we have been increasing around arresting human smugglers. And it is the work that we have been doing that has been about bringing the partners and the allies together on an international level, understanding that we are seeing these migration trends around the globe. And in particular, the work that we have done that has been about addressing the root causes of migration from, for example, the northern part of Central America, actually is having an impact,” Harris stated.
By “manage the influx,” what Harris means is that they are planning to process as many illegal aliens as they can in order to turn them loose in America via the catch-and-release policy.
Of course, the goal of the administration should be deterring illegal aliens from attempting to cross the border and enter the country in the first place.
But that would mean keeping Title 42 in place permanently.
