Right after Russia invaded Ukraine and just before Joe Biden took a long weekend in Delaware, he announced Ketanji Brown Jackson as his pick for the Supreme Court.
Some of Jackson’s troubling past has emerged – but the presumed first black female justice’s road to the Supreme Court just got a lot darker.
Because disturbing writings from Biden’s pick for the Supreme Court just leaked.
Ketanji Brown Jackson is hoped to receive confirmation from the U.S. Senate to make her the next Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
If confirmed, she’ll replace her old boss, retiring Justice Stephen Breyer – one of the three reliable leftist votes on the Court.
Since Biden announced her as his nominee, Democrats have touted her education level and long tenure as a judge.
But research during the vetting process has discovered some disturbing views from Jackson’s legal career.
The most troubling of which was just discovered.
Jackson is on legal record arguing against punishments for pedophiles.
The American Accountability Foundation dug up the disturbing argument from the Supreme Court hopeful.
Judge Jackson wrote in Harvard Law Review that sexual predators having to register, submit to DNA identification, and notify their neighbors is “unfair and unnecessarily burdensome.”
“Judges should abandon the prevention/punishment analyses that rely on legislative intent, that routinely apply the Kennedy factors, and that assess the ‘excessiveness’ of a sex offender statute’s punitive effects in favor of a more principled approach to characterization,” Jackson wrote. “A principled approach involves assessing the impact of sex offender statutes and deeming the laws ‘punitive’ to the extent that they operate to deprive sex criminals of a legal right in a manner that primarily has retributive or general deterrent effects,” Jackson’s piece went on.
Jackson apparently doesn’t care measures like a sex offender registry are meant to prevent sex offenders from reoffending – and protect vulnerable and innocent children.
Ketanji Brown Jackson’s view shows how out of touch the radical Left is with American parents.
Siding with pedophiles over children isn’t the only blemish on Jackson’s record.
She also represented Muslim terrorists and other Guantánamo Bay detainees while working in private practice.
Just as worrying, during Senate Judiciary questioning for her appointment to the D.C. Appellate Court, Jackson stated “one has to think about unconscious (racial) bias when we are making decisions.”
Jackson also had a history of ruling against then-President Donald Trump while she sat as an appellate judge for the D.C. Circuit.
Many of those rulings were later overturned by her peers – including several regarding Trump’s attempts to fast-track deportations of illegal immigrants.
And to this very day, Jackson has refused to come out against packing the High Court.
As the vetting of Jackson’s candidacy for the bench continues, only time will tell what other skeletons from her past come out of the closet.
