Joe Biden’s administration is a bloated, incompetent mess after he filled top cabinet posts with the Democrat Party hacks.
And Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg wants to prove he’s the dumbest of the lot.
Because Pete Buttigieg just asked for another round after Ron DeSantis drubbed him over this top Democrat priority.
Biden administration Cabinet Secretary Pete Buttigieg was a two-term mayor of a city inhabited by 100,000 people.
Somehow, that was enough to catapult him to being one of the top contenders in the 2020 Democrat Presidential Primary race, and then get him a top cabinet post as a consolation prize.
It probably helped that tapping Buttigieg would support President Joe Biden’s claims about having “the most inclusive presidential cabinet in history.”
And it likely didn’t hurt that he was willing to make insane claims about anything imaginable being racist.
Leftists have called everything they disagree with “racist” and trotted out the smear whenever they haven’t gotten their way for so long, the word has lost all meaning.
But they can’t help imagining racism everywhere for one reason. The Left knows if they lose much more ground among minority voters to Republicans, it could doom the Democrat Party for a generation.
So failed presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is once again doubling down on the latest twist to the Democrats’ favorite play in their political playbook.
Buttigieg has made a commitment to fight back against the United States’ “systemically racist” road system.
Mayor Pete has now launched his Reconnecting Communities project that the administration claims to be aimed at “reunifying historically black neighborhoods” supposedly divided decades ago by the interstate highway system.
“Transportation can connect us to jobs, services and loved ones, but we‘ve also seen countless cases around the country where a piece of infrastructure cuts off a neighborhood or a community because of how it was built,” Buttigieg said. “It’s about mending what has been broken, especially when the damage was done with taxpayer dollars.”
Buttigieg is directing $1 billion to the initiative – with $195 million of that being allocated this year.
The program looks to be just a repackaged version of taxpayer-funded giveaways to some of Democrats’ favorite cronies with the pilot program funding going toward mass transit lines and “green” spaces built on top of roadways, known as freeway lids or “caps” the Blaze reported.
Top name conservatives have come out against the idea that American roads have created social justice inequalities.
Buttigieg was ripped by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis when asked about Buttigieg’s “racist” roadways comments last fall.
“I heard some stuff, some weird stuff from the secretary of transportation trying to make this about social issues,” America’s Governor said. “To me, a road’s a road.”
Texas Senator Ted Cruz chimed in as well, tweeting.“The roads are racist,” and “We must get rid of roads.”
But Democrat politicians are excited about the potential of combining pork-barrel spending with woke propaganda.
“If you’re born here and all you see are these structures like this that are wrought-iron fences and chain-link fences and the noise from the interstate, what you assume is, ‘I’m not valued,’ because they placed this here,” Tennessee Democrat state Rep. Harold Love Jr. said.
“But if you could change that model and talk about how you were once valued in this neighborhood, and were trying to re-create that value by putting this (cap) here, you may change the mindset of children growing up here.”
