The Biden regime’s failures are now stacking up quicker than they can make them disappear.
That’s leaving Joe Biden and his lackeys in the unfamiliar position of actually being held even slightly accountable.
And now Pete Buttigieg was left speechless after he got hit with a fact check he never saw coming.
After two years of getting a pass for repeatedly being on “vacation” during numerous crises that have happened on his watch, Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has finally been in the hot seat since the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio that spilled toxic chemicals into the areas’ water and air.
Considering the East Palestine area population is predominately made up of working class Americans who voted overwhelmingly for former President Donald Trump, the Biden regime had sought to simply ignore the toxic chemical crisis, leaving citizens to fend for themselves.
Secretary Buttigieg didn’t even acknowledge the situation publicly until ten days after the derailment occurred, and only visited three weeks after the crisis began, once Trump had already visited the area to bring much needed supplies and left him no choice.
As a matter of fact, once Buttigieg did actually acknowledge the situation and visit the area some weeks after the fact, he and the rest of the Biden regime attempted to claim the derailment and spill were solely the fault of the Trump administration.
The regime’s narrative claimed the situation was the result of the former President rolling back a braking regulation, even though National Transportation Safety Board chair Jennifer Homendy immediately debunked that narrative on social media.
But while most of their media allies have dutifully ignored Homendy’s debunking of the narrative, the Biden regime isn’t just getting off the hook this time around.
In a recent analysis of the situation, the Washington Post’s Glen Kessler — a notorious left-wing activist posing as a “fact checker” — actually did his job for once and debunked Buttigieg and the Biden regime’s narrative.
Unlike the typical “fact check” of Democrats’ claims, in which self-proclaimed “journalists” simply cherry pick and massage “facts” to back up the Left, Kessler actually poured over every regulation change made under Trump that could have possibly impacted the train derailment.
“We decided to examine every possible regulatory change made under Trump that could be related to the accident and assess whether it could have made an impact,” Kessler wrote for The Post. “A preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating the incident, said the Norfolk Southern crew received an alert about an overheated wheel bearing and was trying to slow the train before it came off the tracks.”
But to the surprise of no one who’s paid attention, the left-wing fact checked determined that “none of the regulatory changes made during the Trump administration at this point can be cited as contributing to the accident.”
Of course, despite the fact that both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Washington Post have now decidedly debunked the Biden regime’s claim that former President Donald Trump was in any way responsible for the East Palestine train derailment, the rest of the so-called “mainstream” media refuse to push back.
At the same time, the mere fact that an outlet like the Post is openly calling out the Biden regime’s lies, particularly those of Secretary Buttigieg, does show that he’s in the hot set with the Left.
Buttigieg was obviously never qualified for the job in the first place – outside of those associated with left-wing identity politics, of course – and his incompetence continues to show on a daily basis, putting Americans’ lives and well-being in tremendous peril.
Now, it remains to be seen just how long Pete Buttigieg can survive when top Democrat allies, like the Washington Post, actually do their jobs.
