Phil Murphy left New Jersey residents completely stranded after this massive government failure exposed Democrat incompetence

Governor Phil Murphy's administration faces backlash as New Jersey offers zero Real ID appointments, leaving residents stranded weeks before federal deadline for a needless government tool that’s all about cash and control.

Phil Murphy’s administration is failing basic government functions.

New Jersey residents are paying the price for his bureaucratic nightmare.

And Phil Murphy left New Jersey residents completely stranded after this massive government failure exposed Democrat incompetence.

New Jersey’s DMV fails residents as Real ID deadline approaches with zero appointments available

New Jersey residents are facing a crisis as the deadline for Real IDs rapidly approaches, with many unable to secure appointments through the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles.

Beginning May 7, just weeks away, Americans will need a Real ID to board domestic flights or enter certain federal buildings.

But on Monday, the New Jersey DMV website showed a stunning “0 appointments available” for Real ID services, leaving thousands of residents frustrated and scrambling for alternatives.

The situation has become so dire that social media is flooded with complaints from New Jersey residents who can’t get appointments despite months of trying.

“I’ve been sporadically checking the NJ MVC website for Real ID appointments over the last few months and not ONCE have I seen an open appointment,” one frustrated resident posted on X.

Another New Jersey citizen blasted the DMV, saying, “No one in New Jersey can get an appointment for a Real ID.”

The bureaucratic failure is even more outrageous considering the DMV’s own website showed 13,243 appointments available for non-driver IDs, 34,155 appointments for transferring out-of-state licenses, and a whopping 51,809 renewal appointments.

One resident pointed out the absurdity, asking, “Why is New Jersey not just using the 5,000 appointments they have for license renewals for Real ID applications?”

The NJDMV claims to add 3,000 new Real ID upgrade appointments each business day starting at 7 a.m., but residents report these appointments vanish instantly if they appear at all.

When Fox News Digital reached out to Democrat Governor Phil Murphy’s office, they received no response – a typical reaction from an administration more focused on progressive policies than basic government services.

Instead, residents heard an automated message stating, “As seen in states across the country, the demand for Real ID now is extraordinarily high ahead of the start of federal enforcement in May.”

But that excuse falls flat when other states have managed the transition much more efficiently.

The NJDMV boasted they’ve issued 1,381,916 Real ID-compliant licenses so far, but with New Jersey’s population of nearly 9.3 million, that means the vast majority of residents still lack the required identification, with just weeks until the deadline.

The DMV spokesperson claimed they are “processing record numbers of in-person transactions” and “continue to evaluate our operations and capacity each week,” but residents aren’t seeing the results.

This failure is just the latest example of Democrat-run states struggling with basic government functions while they focus on woke policies and virtue signaling.

While New Jersey residents can’t get basic government services, Murphy has been busy pushing progressive policies like electric vehicle mandates and gender identity curriculum in schools.

The Real ID crisis mirrors similar government failures under Democrat leadership across the country, from California’s EDD fraud scandal during COVID to New York’s bureaucratic nightmare during the pandemic.

For New Jersey residents – as well as those of many states – desperate to comply with federal requirements, limited options remain. Valid passports can be used as alternatives for boarding flights and entering federal facilities, but expedited passports take two to three weeks and come with additional fees.

Unlike some other states, New Jersey doesn’t allow AAA branches to offer Real ID services, cutting off another potential avenue for residents.

This government failure particularly impacts seniors, who may need to travel for medical treatment or to visit family, and who often don’t have alternative identification like passports.

“Just par for the course for NJ. No Real ID appointments available. GET WITH THE TIMES, NJ,” wrote one exasperated resident, capturing the sentiment of thousands.

The Murphy administration has shown time and again that they can’t handle basic government responsibilities while they pursues their progressive agenda.

With the Real ID deadline looming and no solution in sight, New Jersey residents are paying the price for Democrat incompetence.
