Pope’s brother just exposed Nancy Pelosi with one resurfaced video posted to social media

Pope Leo XIV's brother Louis Prevost sparked controversy with social media posts sharing pro-Trump content, revealing stark political differences within the papal family, and even calling Nancy Pelosi a 'drunk c***'.

The brother of the new Pope has some strong opinions about Democrats that just came to light.

He is reportedly not backing down from them either.

And Pope Leo XIV’s brother Louis Prevost unleashed a shocking attack on Nancy Pelosi that has Vatican officials scrambling to respond.

Recently-elected Pope Leo XIV, who made history last week as the first American pope after being elected on the second day of conclave, is now facing an unexpected controversy thanks to his older brother’s social media activity.

Louis Prevost, who lives in Port Charlotte, Florida, has been revealed as an outspoken Trump supporter with a Facebook page full of MAGA memes and strong political opinions.

Pelosi in the crosshairs

Recent reports revealed several posts where Prevost didn’t hold back his feelings about prominent liberal politicians, particularly Representative Nancy Pelosi.

In one particularly fiery post from April 5, Prevost shared a video of Pelosi speaking in 1996 with a caption that referred to her as a “drunk c***” and criticized “liberals crying about tariffs.”

The post also included a crude reference to Pelosi’s husband, creating a stark contrast between the Pope’s brother and the Vatican’s typically reserved public image.

But that’s not all.

The elder Prevost brother also shared memes mocking “woke” culture, including one showing an asylum with the caption: “Where the woke lived before the ’70’s.”

In another post, he requested prayers for the “33 percent who approve of Biden, that they be healed of their mental affliction.”

Prevost has made his political leanings crystal clear, writing strongly-worded posts about illegal immigration and expressing concerns about neighborhood safety.

“Seems like we are in a war right here at home. A war for our streets and neighborhoods,” he wrote in August, referencing an alleged incident where he claimed 20 illegal immigrants “tried to hijack a bus full of children” in Southern California.

His firebrand support for Donald Trump stands in direct opposition to his brother’s apparent politics.

Pope Leo XIV, whose birth name is Robert Prevost, has previously shared posts critical of the Trump administration, including retweeting an op-ed criticizing Vice President J.D. Vance’s approach to Christianity.

The Pope’s previous comments on issues like gun control, migration, and the death of George Floyd have already drawn criticism from conservative commentators.

Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon derided the new Pope as “the worst pick for MAGA Catholics” and dubbed him the “anti-Trump pope.”

Family divided over faith and politics

The Prevost brothers grew up together in Illinois, and according to both Louis and their other brother John, they used to tease Robert about becoming Pope someday.

“We used to tease him about being pope because he always had that holy way about him,” Louis said in a recent interview.

The brothers have recently gained attention for revealing their childhood jokes about Robert’s future, with Louis recalling that neighbors would say, “‘You’re going to grow up to be pope one day, Robert.’ Our brother? Pope? Nah. Not going to happen.”

Despite their close relationship, with Louis revealing he spoke to his brother several times a week before the papal election, he now worries their communication might become limited due to the Pope’s new responsibilities.

“Yeah, I’m the pope’s brother, but it’s hard to get in to see the pope,” Louis remarked.

John Prevost expressed similar sentiments on Good Morning America, sharing his pride while acknowledging the heavy responsibilities his brother now faces.

“It is quite a responsibility he’s going to face now,” John said. “He’s got the task of bringing the world’s Catholics together. People are splitting apart. People are leaving the church, there’s factions in the church… he’s got to try to face those things and bring people together.”

The stark difference between the Pope’s apparent political leanings and his brother’s outspoken conservative views highlights the complex divisions that exist even within families during these polarized times.

With the Pope now tasked with unifying Catholics worldwide, his brother’s controversial social media activity presents an unexpected challenge right at the start of his papacy.
