President Joe Biden just made one desperate attempt to stop Donald Trump from saving America

Joe Biden’s biggest fear is that Donald Trump’s legacy will far overshadow his administration of disaster, but his last ditch effort to thwart Trump’s incoming agenda is likely to miss its mark.

Donald Trump made it clear on the 2024 Presidential campaign trail that inflation and energy were among his top issues.

Environmental activists have been losing their minds ever since it was announced that Trump would return to the White House.

And President Joe Biden just made one desperate attempt to stop Donald Trump from saving America.

Environmentalists view Trump as ‘Public Enemy Number One’

Voters made it crystal clear on Election Day in 2024 that they wanted Donald Trump to execute their mandate of addressing the endless inflation produced by the Biden regime.

According to a May 2024 Pew Research study, inflation was a “very big concern” according to roughly 62% of Americans.

The poll found that roughly half of Democrat voters agreed with that statement.

On the campaign trail, Trump promised Americans that he would put a stop to Biden’s rampant inflation through his plan to unleash American energy by opening the door for American oil and gas industries, making the country energy independent once more.

“We will drill, baby, drill, and by doing that we will lead to a large-scale decline in prices,” exclaimed Trump during his July nomination acceptance speech.

Following his success on Election Day in November, environmental activists immediately lost their minds, claiming that his return to the Oval Office would lead to worse conditions in their fight to lower emissions.

After it was announced that Donald Trump would, once more, become President, Yale University’s School of Environment proclaimed that Trump’s incoming administration was “the worst outcome for climate regulation.”

The school attempted to deliver a warning that Trump would likely decide to “open more federal lands and waters to oil and gas drilling” while ending Biden’s controversial suspension of exporting liquid natural gas.

They also stated that they expected Trump to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Accords once more since Joe Biden decided to rejoin it following Trump’s first term in office.

Biden attempts to limit Trump drilling opportunities

During his final days in office, Biden has taken every opportunity he could to try and prevent Trump from unleashing American energy production by invoking the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act.

The 1950s-era law is being used as a bludgeon to stonewall any attempt to lease out lands in the coastal waters of the United States for oil and natural gas production.

According to a recent report by the Daily Mail, Biden’s strategy “will not affect large swaths of the Gulf of Mexico, where most U.S. offshore drilling occurs,” but it would prevent the leasing of more than 625 million acres of federal waters for this purpose.

Biden claimed that it was his concerns over climate change and ecological disaster that inspired him to make the decision.

“My decision reflects what coastal communities, businesses, and beachgoers have known for a long time: that drilling off these coasts could cause irreversible damage to places we hold dear,” argued the outgoing President.

“As the climate crisis continues to threaten communities across the country and we are transitioning to a clean energy economy, now is the time to protect these coasts for our children and grandchildren,” he added.

Biden then attempted to make the argument that “we do not need to choose between protecting the environment and growing our economy” while adding that America could experience “low” energy prices with these changes – something he could not prove to be true during his tenure.

“Joe Biden will fail”

Since making this decision to target Trump’s incoming agenda, environmentalist extremist organizations have been applauding Biden.

They claim that this move was a step in the right direction for banning oil and gas leasing before Trump could have the opportunity following his inauguration.

Joseph Gordon, who serves as the campaign director for the advocacy group Oceana, celebrated Biden’s decision as an “epic ocean victory!”

“Our coastlines are home to millions of Americans and support billions of dollars of economic activity that depend on a clean coast, abundant wildlife, and thriving fisheries,” exclaimed Gordon.

The Vice President of litigation at Earthjustice, Drew Caputo, claimed that “President Biden just made a powerful investment in the resiliency of communities, regional economies, and marine wildlife.”

“These protective policies will ensure safer conditions and more room for prosperity for millions of people living along American coasts,” Caputo added.

But not everyone is celebrating Biden’s radical decision, however.

Mike Sommers, President of the American Petroleum Institute, argued that Biden’s move was actually a total disregard of the mandate set by American voters who demanded more domestic energy production.

“American voters sent a clear message in support of domestic energy development, and yet the current administration is using its final days in office to cement a record of doing everything to restrict it,” argued Sommers.

In response to Biden’s announcement, Trump’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt shrugged off the decision, claiming that Trump would simply reverse the declaration.

“This is a disgraceful decision designed to exact political revenge on the American people who gave President Trump a mandate to increase drilling and lower gas prices,” noted Leavitt.

“Rest assured, Joe Biden will fail, and we will drill, baby, drill,” she assured Americans.
