Fox News once was thought of as “fair and balanced.”

But now their slogan is as empty as CNN still calling itself “the most trusted name in news.”

And President Trump destroyed a Fox News correspondent with this blunt response to a gotcha question.

Fox News White House correspondent John Roberts questioned President Trump during a recent briefing over a debunked story about Trump dismantling the National Security Council’s pandemic response team.

Fake News Reporters salivated over the story when it was first brought up by Obama’s cronies.

As it turned out, nothing could be further from the truth.

“That turned out to be a false story . . . what are you working for, CNN?” Trump shot back at Roberts after Roberts asked his questions.

“No, no, no, no,” Roberts replied, “I’m pointing out what they have said and what you have said.”

The President didn’t appreciate Roberts’ reply.

“You know that’s a false story, what you just said was a false story . . . you shouldn’t be repeating a story that you know is false,” Trump responded.

Everyone in the press, including Roberts, knows the story about President Trump “closing” the Office of Pandemic Response is false, but they continue referencing it because they think the public is too ignorant to know otherwise.

In a Washington Post op-ed, former National Security Council staffer Tim Morrison, explained the pandemic response office was combined with other overlapping offices to streamline the National Security Council’s operations.

“One such move at the NSC was to create the counterproliferation and biodefense directorate, which was the result of consolidating three directorates into one, given the obvious overlap between arms control and nonproliferation, weapons of mass destruction terrorism, and global health and biodefense. It is this reorganization that critics have misconstrued or intentionally misrepresented. If anything, the combined directorate was stronger because related expertise could be commingled,” Morrison wrote.

Fox News viewers expect reporters to stick with the facts, not get carried away with the fake news story du jour. John Roberts was letting viewers down by rehashing a debunked story.
