With election day a little more than a month away, the polls are showing it’s going to be another tight race.
Both the Biden and Trump corners are looking to grab every edge they can as November 3rd nears.
But President Trump was just backstabbed by a Republican who endorsed Joe Biden for President.
The late senator John McCain was a major problem for conservatives trying to pass conservative policies in government.
He routinely “compromised” with the Left, which usually involved giving into their demands in whole.
Which is why it may come as no surprise to hear that Cindy McCain – Senator McCain’s surviving spouse – has announced that she will be endorsing Joe Biden for the Oval Office.
“My husband John lived by a code: country first. We are Republicans, yes, but Americans foremost. There’s only one candidate in this race who stands up for our values as a nation, and that is Joe Biden,” McCain wrote.
Cindy notes that while she doesn’t agree with Biden on a number of issues, she thinks he is a “good man” and the man for the job, despite the differences in politics.
“Joe and I don’t always agree on the issues, and I know he and John certainly had some passionate arguments, but he is a good and honest man. He will lead us with dignity,” McCain added. “He will be a commander in chief that the finest fighting force in the history of the world can depend on, because he knows what it is like to send a child off to fight.”
In response to Mrs. McCain, Biden thanked her and said that we all have to “come together as one America.”
“Cindy — I’m deeply honored to have your support and your friendship. This election is bigger than any one political party. It requires all of us to come together as one America to restore the soul of the nation. Together, we’ll get it done,” Biden responded.
The fact is, the McCains weren’t ever fans of President Trump.
While McCain was in the Senate during the Trump administration, he often stifled conservative legislation from making their way to the White House for the President to sign off on – including the border wall, immigration, ending wars in the middle east, etc.
And conservatives will never forget when Senator McCain infamously gave the dramatic thumbs down to repealing the Obama administration’s socialistic Obamacare.
So it was expected that Cindy would endorse Biden sooner or later.
However, she and her husband’s legacy of early 2000’s neoconservatism has always been wildly unpopular.
And the Trump administration’s ardent support from the conservative grassroots is the perfect example of that.
