CNN is notorious for having guests that make the most insane claims.
But this one might top them all.
That’s because President Trump was just compared to Italian fascist and tyrant Mussolini by a major Democrat on live television.
House Majority Whip James Clyburn out of South Carolina has been a major player in Democrat politics for more than 30 years.
So Clyburn isn’t some one-term Democrat hack on no one’s radar.
That’s why Americans were shocked by what he had to say about President Trump on CNN.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” segment, guest host Dana Bash asked Congressman Clyburn about his previous statements comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler.
This time around, he said President Trump is Benito Mussolini, the Italian fascist leader during the Second World War.
“What I said started about two-and-a-half, maybe three years ago after one of his State of the Unions. That I feel very strongly that this man has taken on as tactics. I feel very strongly that he is Mussolini. Putin is Hitler. I said that back then, and I believe that,” Clyburn began.
He continued to wildly speculate that President Trump won’t ever leave office and that he is trying to rig our elections so he can keep himself in office in perpetuity.
“I believe very strongly this guy never had an idea about being want [sic] to peacefully transfer power. I don’t think he plans to leave the White House. He doesn’t plan to have a fair election. I believe that he plans to install himself in some kind of emergency way to continue hold on to office,” the U.S. Representative continued.
Theatrics like this constantly appearing on CNN is why no one takes the news outlet seriously anymore.
There are no legitimate comparisons to be made between President Trump and the murderous Italian fascist Mussolini.
And all year Democrats have been peddling the fake news propaganda that Trump will refuse to leave office if he were to lose the election – despite the President never saying such things.
It’s these insane claims that drove voters into President Trump’s camp in 2016 in the first place.
And if they keep it up, 2016 could very well repeat itself in 2020.
