The violent protests and riots in Portland, Minneapolis, and Kenosha have been a major talking point ahead of the elections.
Since President Trump has made law and order the theme of his reelection efforts, the polls have been chipping away at Biden’s lead.
And then President Trump went on Fox News and asked his supporters to do one thing for law enforcement.
Recently, President Trump sat down with Laura Ingraham with Fox News for an hour-long interview to discuss the riots in Kenosha, Portland, Minneapolis, and several other Demcrat-controlled cities.
Portland, Oregon saw a man who was an identified Antifa supporter shoot and kill a supporter of President Trump.
And in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Kyle Rittenhouse is facing prison for life after defensively shooting two rioters and violent protesters that had attacked and chased him.
So Ingraham asked the President what he wants his supporters to do in response to these violent leftist mobs that are tearing cities apart.
President Trump’s response was calculated and that he wanted it left to law enforcement.
“No. No, I don’t want them. I want to leave it to law enforcement. But my supporters are wonderful, hard-working, tremendous people. And they turn on their television set, and they look at a Portland, or they look at a Kenosha, before I got involved and stopped it, or they look at Chicago, where 78 people were shot last weekend and numerous people died, or they look at New York, where violence is up by like, what? 150%. … They’re looking at all of this, and they can’t believe it,” President Trump shared.
Trump also noted that it was his supporters that tried to carry on with a peaceful protest in Portland, Oregon before Antifa thugs made it violent.
“It’s a peaceful protest. I mean, they were protesting. They weren’t — you know [rioting], it’s amazing, they want to protest, and they get criticized,” President Trump continued.
This flies right in the face of the lies that the Fake News Media has been peddling that President Trump has been “inciting” the violence across our country.
At no point in President Trump’s presidency has he ever remotely promoted violence.
The media has been trying to compare Trump’s response to these riots to his response to the Charlottesville, Virginia incident where a rogue racist killed a woman and injured 19 others after ramming a car into a crowd.
The media is trying to say he has failed to “condemn the violence” and that he’s responsible for it for failing to do so.
The only problem is that in both cases, President Trump has unequivocally condemned anyone who commits violence against a fellow American during a protest.
But that doesn’t fit the Fake News Media’s narrative to paint President Trump in a negative light.
